@speckofdust21 well, it was probably early in the morning and they are singing the song while sitting down (not the best position). It's about right for Redman. Chris Tomlin even sings it higher in Db. Um, wow...
@acLewBert zzzz.... my point exactly, if they're already gonna drop the key from the original, might as well do it to a point they're comfortable. early in the morning....sitting down, heck they could even be upside down. just do it in a comfortable key, not everyone is a Chris tomlin
just as we would ask some of our friends to pray for us. It is often confused that we worship Mary and the saints, but i assure you if you do some research you will see we are in no way worshiping mary, or any of the saints.
Being a Christian is being a follower of Christ. As Catholics we very much follow Christ, we practice and know Jesus' teachings. As for worshipping Mary. We do not worship Mary by any means. The saints and Mary are looked to as not idols, but friends if you will. We see their stories and where they have been, and what they have gone through, and we admire them for their love of God and the things they have done. We look at them as we look at our friends on earth. We ask for them to pray for us
Love! Love!! (New Song Cafe) Thanks for sharing with us, and seeing the HEART OF WORSHIP! This is true worship! WOW!! Blessed!! Feel like God sits in the room with you....
comes down too it, at the end of the day as someone else mentioned we are worshiping and surrendering our hearts to Christ. Like I said Matt Maher is and always has been a big supporter of unity within churches, and this is something that is apparent in his music. There is no problem with the salvation issue you see. I feel blessed to have experienced Matt's journey through music with him and his band, and I'm so happy to see a Catholic going mainstream in Christian music
@surfergirl0909 hey, sorry to intervene on this debate. But I am in the middle in this debate. Overall I love Jesus. I don't agree with conflict between the Church, because at the end of the day, the church is the bride of Christ. However, i am a little skeptical about whether Catholics are Christians. The reason being this - Ultimately, God is the judge and we have no place to make final decisions about who goes to heaven. however we can make rough opinions through scripture...
@surfergirl0909 we know that Sin, is what does not allow us into heaven...because we are unclean. Now, to be allowed into heaven we have to accept Jesus AND repent. To repent for your sins you must first acknowledge them, then turn from them. Now worshiping Mary, is a sin - it is Idol worshipping. (one example of false doctrine, but can be applied to the others) Now to be allowed into heaven we would have to accept it as sin, then turn from it.. otherwise we are unclean? that's why i differ :)
I am a Roman Catholic and have been worshiping with Matt Maher since I was in middle school at multiple youth conferences. I can tell you first hand that ultimately our goal as a Catholic Christian is to get to heaven! Let me make it clear that Catholics are Christians, I'm not sure if you are aware of that, but I do know it is a common misconception. Matt Maher is all about unity amongst religion. We all have our separate beliefs throughout the christian faith, but when it
Honest question for my fellow worship leaders: One of the Matt's here is a Roman Catholic, whose doctrine (particularly that of salvation) is a bit different than that of Protestant Christianity...how are we to reconcile this in our worship? Am I wrong for being concerned? Thanks, guys.
I think it's wonderful to see Matt & Matt writing together in unity with a focus on Christ, the common Lord of us all. In worship, our focus is on Christ, not the theology or denomination of the artist. If a Christian artist's songs & heart exalt Jesus as Saviour and Lord (as you'll find Matt M's do) then yep, I believe you have no need to be concerned. Rather a cause to rejoice!
i LOVE the bridge.... they should drop the key though... he was singing at his limit i tihnk
