I don't see lochte or phelps pulling with the hand closest to the bottom from which they turned. So they're definitely not doing bottom hand pull outs which everyone is taught? Is what they're doing faster? Lochte and phelps both turn to the right at the 100 meter wall, stay under and do some awesome fly kicks, but then pull with the left hand INSTEAD of the right hand like everyone's taught. So what is correct? I wish I could ask them haha.
Ryan Lochte has amazing turns. Michael didn't just "let" him win. Nobody races for second. Yes, Phelps is an amazing swimmer, but Ryan is just as good.
Phelps is a butterfly master and Lochte is a backstroke master. But seeing these two win this event from Biedermann who is a freestyle swimmer is very classic ans sweet.
Michael Phelps is surely fantastic, but people need to stop saying that he "let" Lochte win this race or didn't really want to win it. Ryan Lochte deserves all the credit in the world for being the best swimmer from 2009-today. Let's just hope that both these guys go into London 2012 at peak form and can absolutely dominate everyone else!
Phelps probably wasnt wanting to win......he wants to loosen up his times so he can blow the 2012 olympics. He wants to make it seem as though he has no improvement and he can destroy everyone later. Do you see how his turns are weak, i beleive he purposely got second since he wasnt trying
Don't be foolish, no one ever goes into a race with the mentality "I want to take second", especially at worlds that's just ridiculous. Lochte has been working his butt off for years constantly in the shadow of Phelps.. You can't win all the time but he's not racing for second, ever.
Universal Sports, isn't there anyone else available to call these races? Not asking for Rowdy, but come on, man!... This is hardly exciting for anyone, terrible reaction to Lochte going in behind Phelps and blowing the doors off in the 100m wall.
Great race boys, lets see another 1-2 in the 200IM. The same order too, Mr. Lochte ;)

Lochte wont beat Phelps until he retires , unless Phelps lets him win. If Phelps wanted to win this race, he would of :D.
