  • Wow... beautiful, amazing, awesome, incredible!

  • ballarinas with sticks

  • the leap at 0:44 was amazing

  • 0:35 - 0:37 ADD OIL

0:37 random kid yells ADD OIL after.

  • What they are doing is impressive but this is as much real as Pro Wrestling is. This is theatrical "work" based on "shoot" moves. Sure many of the moves in pro wrestling work and are based on Catch Wrestling moves, but it is just for theatrics now. Who do you think is going to win in a fight - a pro Wrestler or an actual top notch submission grappler? How about these girls vs. an actual martial artist?

Sanshou is much more the "real" deal. The outcome isn't predetermined.

  • So many comments below are horribly WRONG. Julian123, funny that every art u mention is sport based. Wushu training is more then you could ever manage. As to the swords being aluminum replicas? Umm no, they are spring steal and some are combat steel. The actual point of the sword is to pierce between open areas of armor. To even per say then go through the rib space and then into an organ (Via bending) . The Beijing wushu members have defeated some of china's best masters in art and fighting.

  • GRAWR!!! not enough sword clashing noises, id say this is like tai chi with caffeine

  • Do they use real weapons?

  • no they are really thin alumium replicas. they are useless.

  • Actually its pretty damn close to what a real fight with the Jian would be like.

  • How so? I don't think its "Pathetic" when one of those blades stabs through 4 inches of your flesh.

  • It's pathetic because I've learned various martial arts in my life and the stuff in this video simply would not work in the real world.

  • Really? Perhaps, what martial arts have you taken?

  • Judo, TaeKwonDo and PROMAI

  • well of course it wudnt its an exhibition. most wushu stuff is for exhibition purposes only. thanks for stating the obvious tho x

  • Really?? This kind of stuff would not work in the real world??

Wow, you must be a genius! Do you work for Scotland Yard or something??? What about Formula 1? Do you think that kind of driving with those cars work in the real world? Are those drivers pathetic as well? Please investigate this with your Scotland Yard friends and let your findings known to the world!!

  • artysig - your a fool. This 'demo' is total shit.

  • lol scotland yard! good comparison!!!

  • dude thats the point, its visually pleasing. its more art, than fighting style, a discipline like judo rather than muay thai or bjj. and it is incredible, evidently you have very little discipline or patience but simply enjoy the thought of elbowing people in the head.

  • this is the ART part of martial art. Of course it's not about real battle. It's about balance, coordination, speed, agility, rhythm, and reflexes. Testing the full extent of an athletes ability. If you punch someone in the face, it may allow you to beat them, but the true extent of their skill may not have been realized because you got a lucky shot.

  • If I punch someone in the face it will not be a lucky shot! Nothing compares to a real fight for testing abilities..

  • You can end a fight without testing someone's FULL abilities. THIS is testing BALANCE, SPEED, RHYTHM, AGILITY, REFLEXES, STRENGTH, ENDURANCE, and COORDINATION. You can't test all of that if you knock someone out before they can display it.

Like I said, this is the ART part of MARTIAL art. The MARTIAL part of Martial Art comes in when you are in war, or are fending off against attackers in a back alley.

Even boxing and MMA don't test MARTIAL ability to it's fullest. That's why they have rules.

  • @Julian123123123 No, it wouldn't work, that's why it's more of an ART. They practice KNOWING that it won't work, but i'm sure they learn what is applicable in the "real world" before becoming artsy.

  • its like a competition in china or japenses lawl idk lol

  • Can someone say me the meaning of this?

  • to much poseing in this fight

  • at 0:39 it does kinda sound like the kid is saying shut up....even though he's saying Jia You.

  • lmfao densityduckk

  • i find male better XD

  • Doesn't sound right, broh >_>.....

  • Nope. He's saying "JIA YOU!" Which is what the crowd is yelling.

Which, in means something along the lines of: work it! work it! Literally it's something like "add more!" In this case, add more energy, or work hard, etc etc.

  • Nope. Hes talking about the voice in the foreground at 0:40

But he doesnt say shut up, he says a chinese word (don't know what it is)

  • There's another voice that says what may be "Cha" at 0:40, around the time the costume piece goes flying off. Hard to tell what he actually means without being there. It could just be a guttural expression, like "humph." Or he could be "tisking" in some way or another. Cha can mean "short of"

  • if you wanna say Literally, it'll be add oil...haha

  • imagine how long it takes to get it that fast it must take months

  • i liked contestant #6 the best(where the ppl get tossed)

  • I think I would lose on purpose. "Oh no, you wrapped your legs around my head AGAIN. I guess you got me. Darn."

  • they are staged

  • wow gtfo

  • only if all my real life fights could be like this...

  • if I was in a real life fight that wasn't choreographed and it looked like that, I would be the best fighter in the world. No "real" fights look like that

  • Like Michelle Yeoh and Zhang Ziyi!!!

  • with balls, lol
