I think normal people know or at least suspect that Kazakhstan is not like in the Borat movie. Even if they are not saying it. I rather felt his movie and videos a criticism against the US. As a matter of fact he made me curious what the real Kazakhstan could be. I knew almost nothing about it and this region. This video helped a little.

I am not sure how most normal people deal with it. I talked to psychologists about it. I was seeing counseling after I discovered human trafficking prostitution and all of that nature. She just went like YEAH it has been going around since she was born and she said that is just life, learn to deal with it. I am not sure if it is a psychologist kind of thing to be always so complacent or just her.
I know I cannot loose sleep over this. So many bad things all over the world. I am not really sure how to react to this. I think honestly I think just go fulfilling my own life, dealing with my own career issues, taking care of my educational needs. Then when I am at my strongest, go do something good for the world. I hate US and europe , those guys have no culture, they try to make people believe what they wanna believe with movies. And I'd like to hear some examples of EU/US human rights being "fake," as both have a vast number of liberties enshrined in law that Turkey refuses to allow, namely freedom of speech and of the press. As for "brain washing," I Turkey won't allow anyone to teach anything that criticizes the country in schools. That's brain washing defined

I've said it before and i will say it again, although the movie referred to (jokingly), Kazakhstan as having a poor sense of humour in general, this documentary only seems to confirm this joke as a fact. Virtually every other country in the world has been made fun of, look at France for example, ffs Great Britain even! But we take it all like water off a ducks back, before Borat Kazakhstan would have remained a remote obscure country that most people wouldn't have heard of...come on, let it go!

You speak of 'flaws', sorry, i never watched that movie to find flaws in 'kazakhs', besides, most people i know are quite aware that the culture depicted in the movie was not accurate. I am not sure how most normal people deal with it. I talked to psychologists about it. I was seeing counseling after I discovered human trafficking prostitution and all of that nature. She just went like YEAH it has been going around since she was born and she said that is just life, learn to deal with it. I am not sure if it is a psychologist kind of thing to be always so complacent or just her.

I know I cannot loose sleep over this. So many bad things all over the world. I am not really sure how to react to this. I think honestly I think just go fulfilling my own life, dealing with my own career issues, taking care of my educational needs. Then when I am at my strongest, go do something good for the world. Whenever I hear about human rights it worries me because I always feel like I want to help.

Then also just living out my university life with also living out my youth. I am currently dealing with identity issues. I feel so silly that I have to put so much heavy heart for that where as this global government corruption is under way.

I went to Kazakhstan last summer.. nice place however, I´m unsure about their government and how certain things work. Lots of corruption for sure IMO. Nursultan is getting old though so he will have to step down sooner or later, it will be interesting what happens then. Oh yeah and Almaty>>Astana for sure. Ust-Kemenogorsk was also awesome city!
