This is a tough pill to swallow, I'm assuming, both of us because we both want that kind of relationship or know others who do and are having a hard time waiting. Is dating COMPLETELY evil? No, but there are aspects of it that are.

They were at war and God was not telling them to kill babies but to destroy the enemy that had hurt them before. We do the same thing when another country attacks our nation. Im confused on something. According to james 1:13-14 God does not tempt us into Anything evil but we are drawn to it by our own evil desires. So if im drawn towards another girl looking for a relationship (thats obviously before its time because i am not yet ready to look for a partner) would God use my own disobedience to chasten me and rebuke me resulting in repentance and me getting close to him?

@CallmeMell God can use your sin to chasten and discipline you but that's not the way God planned it. Our disobedience has consequences and we suffer b/c of them. Sin draws you away from God. Each time you sin you lose blessings that you will never gain back and even though you can go back on God you have lost those blessings forever. It is natural to lust but it is evil when we go against God's word and sin. God works around our disobedience, they are never apart of his plan for us.

GUYS!!! good news. um if your like me and are struggling in this issue a lot than this is for you. I talked to my church about this issue and they recommended me a book called "i kissed dating good bye" search it on google (author: Joshua Harris ) great book and im only on chapter two so far and its just WoW lets put it that way its a Biblical approach to dating the guy explains a lot of stuff and i highly recommend getting it, its only like 3 dollars on amazon i think
