  • Oh my god I would just die if this happened I would just die, I'm scared omg

  • Thanks for this series. I have done a fair bit of research and I'm pretty sure I have a varicocele in my left testicle. I am going to see my doctor tomorrow. I hope my surgery goes well :)

  • I wish you the best of luck with the path that lies ahead. I hope that if you need a procedure, it does go smoothly.

  • Thanks. As I suspected, I do have a varicocele (or maybe a hydrocele), but my doctor hasnt really said anything about treatment yet. I'm going in for an ultrasound soon

  • surgery is fuck.. these doctors are bloody liars, this fat fuck doctor who operated and his collage pass out accomplice never fixed the vein, they never litigated it and my vein is still dilated. What a waste of my pain, time and money. I want to kill him.. i wish he died.. the fat pig is rude to me now and says he never diagnosed me with a let vericocele! :(((

  • did you testicle became hard after surgery? because mines is. its also painful.

  • I do hope that you sought medical treatment for this! I did not have this symptom.

  • i just had this operation done on thursday, there really isn't much pain just a huge amount of swelling. i'm talking bout softball size. how long before your swelling went down. thanx

  • My operation took place in my abdomen. I had almost no swelling, just a bit around the incisions. Give your surgeon's office a shout and ask if it is an issue. They'll have you come in if required. Can't hurt to check.

  • Thanks for posting this. 15% of men are diagnosed with varicocele.

  • It is an enormous number of us. And yet so little speech.

  • I hope you feel better by now!!

I think you are an inspiration to many in this world!

  • It has been a long journey, but we are still moving forward. I still believe that we have children in our future. Thank you so much.

  • i have got the operation yesterday, now im home i have pain, but its getting better.

But i still got the varicocele, veins, But the doctor said it takes some weeks, to be health is this true?

  • What happened to you to happen the complications?

  • I had a very minor infection that cleared up after about a day and a half of antibiotics. One of the incisions started to hurt a lot. But the next day I saw the surgeon and the complication wasn't serious.

  • Would you add me on skype or msn?

    eu.mateus@gmail.com

  • Thank you very much for asking, but I'm not on those services.

  • you a grown up you could do all that on your own but i`m just 18 and I dont know what to do I hate to talk to my parents about it and I just feel like I want to do it on my own, of course thats not possible so!fuck

  • hope your okay been following it, hope it all goes okay.

  • All the pain has gone and now I'm just waiting to find out if there has been any positive change. I should know in a couple of weeks.

  • Hi Bernard! how are you? this is Omar fom Mexico, how did you realise for the first time you had varicocele? How do you feel now?

    Best regards!

  • My wife and I had been trying for a while to have a kid with no luck. I gave a sperm sample that showed very few healthy sperm. An ultrasound showed that I had a fairly severe case of varicocele and a manual examination by the doctor showed pretty obvious signs of the condition. Had I gone for a checkup a decade earlier, I might not have had a problem.

  • Glad to hear things are going well. Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys.

  • How's it going?

  • Sorry for the lack of update. The move went really well, and we had eight friends show up and six professional movers. I barely had to move anything. Other than that, the doctors think that all is going well, but we won't know anything at all until later in October and then three months later will be the final status on the effectiveness of the surgery.

  • I'm having this surgery done next week. Never had any surgery so I'm pretty nervous, but feel a little better after watching your little before and after series (except for the part about complications of course!). Hope all goes well on your follow up tests. Cheers.

  • I go for Varicocele surgery 08/15. Thanks for posting about your experience with it. I've learned a lot just surfing the net on the subject. Now I just got to get through it.

  • I think the internet is an excellent place to formulate questions. But do try and take those questions to your doctor. Internet sources are notoriously unreliable and it is often hard to tell what kind of bias the source may be expressing. For instance, some fertility clinics post information that minimizes the risks and overstates the potential of treatment. But really, the surgery wasn't bad at all. Just make sure that you have a surgeon you trust and is well regarded. Good luck!

  • Good Luck to you and your wife. My husband and I are also dealing with infertility. My husband also had a varicocele but due to numerous other complication, we are currently undergoing IVF. Thanks for sharing your story and journey! I wish you both the best...

  • I'm sorry to hear that you and your husband find yourselves on this frustrating path, but may it eventually grant you the joy and fulfillment we are all hoping for.

  • We are hiring people and I think we are going to have friends coming by as well. Unfortunately because of the way our current townhouse complex is designed, we are almost 200 yards from the truck. Not much fun. Heavy walking.

  • how are you now, after 1 year operation?do you have child now?please update us not only for the side effect of the operation but also the success of having a child, thank you

  • Well, I am so sorry I never responded. A year and a half later we have fertilized embryos waiting. We are fortunate. I am have had minor twinges lately from the surgical site, so I'm going to get myself checked, but things have been pretty good. Little pain, and I had a sample available on the day of IVF that was viable.

  • Good, good, good. I doubt that you really "enjoy" it but we're hanging in there with you. And I believe I've mentioned this before but DO FIND MORE PEOPLE TO HELP YOU MOVE and DON'T do anything you're not supposed to.
