Galaxy S2 has 1.2Ghz Dual-Core Processor (1Ghz on N9), Android OS (soo many games and apps), 2MP front facing Camera (N9 has VGA) and Full HD video Capture. Go for GS2, Nokia is leaving this MeeGo and switching to WP7 so you will not get games and apps. Plus Galaxy S2 has much large and vivid screen.

How Both of them having 8 MP but Galaxy S2 is having 1020p Full HD video capture and N9 720p, plus N9 has secondary VGA camera vs Galaxy S2 2 MP. Samsung Galaxy S2 is much slim and both have 1GB Ram so you cant say that N9 runs more apps. Are you kidding Galaxy S2 has NFC, google it. Samsung is producing NFC enabled GS2. GS2 has Adobe Flash 10, bigger screen, more battery, app store, video out, vivid display and its best smartphone

@whatthehec97 plus n9 is a bit laggy, he onl showed mobile website, check out other videos, you will find it a bit laggy but Galaxy S2 is too smooth. You can run android apps but not officially and 1Ghz of processor could not run that much HD games as compared to Dual Core 1Ghz.

@whatthehec97 Do you have Google?? Check it out GS2 has NFC. Google navigation is far too better and yes its free. Ovi Maps doesn't supports all the countries but Google Maps Do! And there is Dual-Core in GS2 so thats almost twice more fast.

@whatthehec97 OVI maps is not supported atleast not in my country. There is also Google Street View, which is like OVI 3d. And now you can even download maps. I accept that there is no live view in android which makes multi-tasking better in N9 but when it comes to apps you can run it. Plus Every tab for web-browser is shown as seperate app in Nokia N9 which also increases the amount of open apps. For NFC, check this video out watch?v=uCnAfYzCThU

This is way superior to Android and it's design where all code runs in a virtual machine (unnecessary overhead). Native code like in N9 means better performance and being true Linux means that free software will be always available. No matter what Nokia does, Linux is going nowhere.

But according to Nokia CEO, Stephen Elop, the device will be one and only nokia device that will equip with meego OS. Which mean this is a start as well as an end to meego for nokia...but no worries, there will be SW update for the device according to Nokia Head of Portfolio Management, Klas Ström. So, let's see what happen in the future...

@JayEff97 Yes MeeGo can have some (Not all) but N9 and N950 does not have a MeeGo but Harmattan. There is the difference. Only same thing with MeeGo and Harmattan is the Qt.

Not all Android apps are written only with Java but many (most...?) has C and C++ code what demand other Android libraries and system programs instead just Dalvik Virtual Machine.

@najibnk If I had a choice between a Galaxy S2 or a N9, I'd go N9 everytime. The Galaxy is plasticy, this feels solid. The N9 has the fastest camera on any device, free Sat Nav, hidden dual mics, gorilla glass buttonless screen - which is every bit as vibrant as anything that Samsung have made. Nope, N9 wins hands down.

Galaxy S2 has faster 1.2 GHZ Dual-Core ARM Cortex A9 cpu while N9 has only a single-core 1 GHZ ARM Cortex A8 and Galaxy S2 can shoot in 1080p full HD video recording but the N9 only shoots at 720p. The N9 even only has 8 MP camera which doesn't even match-up with Nokia N8 that has 12 MP camera. If you look at the specs then you'll know.. However in terms of software, I think MeeGo is currently more fluid than Android.

@VerDad1818 It's just personal choice. The N9 looks gorgeous, it's well thought out, it's a beautiful screen, fluid, a better camera than SGS2, up to 64GB storage, and the battery life blows the SGS2 out of the water - because it doesn't need a dual core. I doubt that i'll lose sleep over only having 720P on a device, and of course being open sourced, the N9 will probably get a 1080P fix anyway. Specs don't always tell the full story.

@pspbricker1 The N9 won't ever be able to shoot at 1080p because only dual-core cpus can decode 1080p Full HD video. Android is also an open-source OS like MeeGo because they both have linux kernels. I personally like the SGS2 because it is very thin & lighter than N9, it also has a nice Super Amoled display. SGS2's battery life doesn't drain quickly despite its powerful cpu and it does have a much better front 2 MP camera, yeah N9 could have 16gb to 64gb storage but no expandable microSD card.

@StickyGeko yes, definitely! meego is an open source os so a lot of community developers will develop apps for it. Nokia will support it for years, and will provide software updates. Plus, all existing Qt apps (for symbian^3 devices such as the Nokia N8) will be supported by the N9.
