  • Is this the Korean made one?

  • are these the stock pickups????

  • I got one , good machine . Through a Marshall 602 , with the amp's distortion , it is so close to my Les 1998 Standard, without the weight . Lovely tones with either the neck or bridge pick-up and the Marshall distortion . Plus there is the upper fret access ease .

Clean though , the Les has far better sound , should too , for the $2500.00(AUST) price diff.

  • pretty sure this is the guitar for me but in Scarlett Red :) is it worth putting the locking tuners on?

  • Very good demo, love the tone on these baddies and this PRS is one of my FAV too :) Happy Playing \iii/

  • Had one... loved it, but then little problems came up... jack issues, the bridge pickup position of the key kinda disconnected... so annoying... then i started to watch Jimmy Page videos with a telecaster, in a week or two, gave away my PRS in exchange of a Telecaster. Damn you GAS!

Great sounding guitar for the price though!

  • I have managed to get some nice tones out of this guitar, I replaced neck position with an old Seymour Duncan Holdsworth pickup and it went from verse, to versatile!

  • this was the first PRS i ever tried and i just felt like trying something simple and.... I Just fell in love with it !!! :D, can you do metal with it?? i woul dreally love it and buy it haha

  • @legendsveil i have a paul reed smith semi hollow body as well and yes you can do metal with it this guitar is very versitle :)

  • @bestdrummerever1234 that's what I was wondering Haha, I just love it, I think I found my next guitar (:

  • I have this guitar and it is my favorite. First off it looks beautiful and the hardware is great looking. The guitar is also very versatile from a strat to say an LP. this thing is so warm you could heat a house with it. All around great guitar, and great review!

  • great demo I was thinking of getting one of these but not sure yet, also the 2011 santana se's are sweet looking

  • i have this guitar and love it! i think i might swap out the pickups though, and coil tap it :P

  • Although a SH guitar can generate lots of different tones, most people buy one to get a clean jazz tone, a bluesy tone or a Carltonisque warm OD tone. This demo isn't informative.

  • could u recommend an electric guitar for a beginner??

  • @annieAAH epiphone les paul LP100, its cheap and a good start off, or maybe try searching for a squier, it depends what music and sound you like, but PRS isn't for begginers, squier and epiphone are great brands for starters. Cheers!

  • @nachocdp thanks a million :)

  • @annieAAH Depends on what kinda music you wanna play. The Squier Classic Vibe series is awesome and only $350 new, look around for used ones and they're even cheaper. I have a Classic Vibe 50's Tele and it's awesome.

  • Is the tone knob all the way up?

  • so how light is this guitar?

  • @TempestCustom1 Extremely light, 3 lbs maybe? Maybe 4 at the most

  • dude no one buys a PRS to try and sound like a Tele, I personaly own both and happy that they're different

  • dude just the sound of it at 0:43 is enough for me, I'm getting it against my Takamine Eg 334 SC

  • people don't buy a semi hollow to play ac/dc kind of music . learn to play jazz/blues and then make another demo.

  • @celermail Accually this guitar is perfect for Insomnium style stuff, which is exactly what I want.

  • @celermail i think there is no special guitar for jazz and acdc it's all about feeling :)

  • she cries like a bitch

  • If you took the pickguard off, what's there? Is it like taking a les paul pickguard off?

  • @CCresante Nothings there :P its just the wood. i took mine off once becuase i painted the body matte black.

  • @IwonYou121 Go Ibanes RG series? If you want it to be Japan made, (Highest Quality), get a prestige. If you are looking for one that's more affordable, get a regular RG series. Hope this helped.

  • Mondo distortion. That was the "clean" sound? Jeez.

  • @aninstrumentalvision There's another video on youtube where you can really hear the clean tone.

    youtube.com/watch?v=9bvWY2eozxM

  • Ug.

  • Great sound stranger.....GC has a used one for $399.........

  • great.

  • Nice playing there stranger..... they have a used one GC for $399 ............

  • Should i get this guitar, or the 25th anniversary SE?

  • been looking for a guitar in this price range for ages... i think im in love with this one! ace review man

  • it would be nice to hear this guitar without all the pedals.

  • excuse me i cant make up my mind between this guitar and a ibanez sv5470a??

can anybody help me?? ps. i like more warm tones but the ibanez is sexy and diverse ??help me

  • @marasi21

Personally Id go for the prs, but it depends what cind of sound you'd be making. if it would be like hard stuff go for the ibanez but for softer stuff go for the prs

  • @thestrangerwiththe how much did that BadCat amp cost because I would love a boutique amp and correct me if im wrong badcat are boutique

  • Sounds great, good post.

    **Check my Strat demo!!

  • you have awesome tone

  • Humm, very very nice sound, Does anyone of you think it would be possible to add a bigsby on it ? I think it may be interesting.

  • Can you explain more in deep your set-up?

I love the tone in this video and I'm thinking buying this PRS

  • How would you say this guitar handles Classic Rock??? Compared to the PRS SE Singlecut???

  • I would like to hear how it sounds unplugged, just the hollowbody sound. if it sounds too much ill consider in buying one with a solid body.

  • I got mine a few days ago and I'm more than happy!! with a little vox DA5 amplifier, I can get it sound like Mark Knopfler or Santana very easily. the fingerboard is awsome and your fingers can do things you wouldn't think yourself able to do.

10/10 to this guitar, the best Quality/Price ratio out there.

  • i want guitar tab for the chords that he plays

  • Hawk nelson!!!! wuuuuu YAAAA

  • hey, what are settings on the bad cat? and what is your CC delay time? I keep on failing to those kind of edge tones out of mine

  • can you play metal on this guitar

  • this video has no thumbs down. THUMBS UP!! Love the tone to this guitar. just sounds so perfect. Wish I could get that with my strat......lol

  • Did you replace the bridge? What bridge is it?

  • whoa! nice colour BADCAT

  • i will get mine in in 1 or 2 days

  • Man - what is that lick that you're playing at 3:40 ??? I love the sound...

  • i want this SO bad

  • I just bought one yesterday..Love it, I went for the sunburst. Thanks for the demo

  • been playing the guitar for over a year now! its still almost exclusively the only guitar i play. i run it through my pedal board (fulldrive 2, yjm308, DD20, RV5, and crybaby) and a fender twin reverb. it sounds SO SICK

  • Thank you for posting this! Excellent demo and I found it just in time. I just got one and almost backed out of the purchase until I saw this. Love the tubescreamer with it.

  • I just got mine and put the Seymour Duncan Hot Rod set on it, sounds like a demon =] Great demo!

  • Nice demo and playing, could you tell us what is the exact weight of this guitar, if you could put it on a scale. Thanks

  • sounds great with the TS

  • Nice !!

  • Hey Jon, Where do you generally mic your cab?

  • One more thing, Jon, it would be totally awesome if you made a video demoing your current stage rig. I've seen the pictures on your blog but it would be cool to get a demo of all the sounds.

  • Dang, that's a nice guitar. You're right, PRS allways seems to have great woods. I have a Gretsch hollowbody around $700 and it sounds pretty awesome as well. The pickups aren't as hot but so its great for like jazz and blues stuff. But that Bad Cat sounded freakin amazing.

  • Dude ur just so good! Great playing man.

  • show all ur guitars and padals please it whould be so awesome :)

  • could you do a video showing all the guitars you own? that would be cool (:

  • i feel like such a nerd listening to you talk about humbuckers and all sorts of things that i have no clue what they mean. but i like it. very much.

    that is all.

  • ur really good at the guitar. I wish i was that good. But i've been playing for 2 years soo we'll see soon i'll be as good as you.

  • Jon, I just started laughing when you leaned forward towards the camera that way everybody could see you, because ur eyes were opened soo wide. I'm sorry but thats hilarious.
