wow, that's a fancy market, the market I would goto in Daegu was pretty low lit, nothing really spectacular about it. The only thing I didn't like is the majority of the fish smell would blow across the river into our home, lol, sometimes was okay, but most not.

Simon, but do not buy side dishes in the traditional market like that. A TV report has shown the process of making of the side dishes of those kinds, and it was unbelievably "unclean." It is the same in the big corporation-operated market too such as emart or homeplus b/c the providers of the goods are almost the same!

The multi colored rice cakes that are like small little ping pong balls are delicious. It has crushed sesame seeds and brown sugar in them. When you eat them you get a pop of melted sugar in your mouth. You really have to try them they are delicious

Aww, that's where I was born! =] You should go in the toy stores and have a look at the toys. I'm sure you've seen pretty bad renditions of toys in dollar stores in Canada... well the toys stores in that area have those kind of toys. Toys that can't spell English, but it's good to play with anyway.

wow. these are amazingly similar to the markets in mexico. They have basically the same things. Although i don't know if they do this in korea, but most mexican sellers in the stalls will be trying to force you to take a piece of whatever they're selling so you can taste the quality of their food.
