  • Instrumental is fucking boss, female vocals DO work much better with this song, but a really great cover nonetheless. What a great song to cover too. You have taste.

  • cool!

  • amazing. sick rickenbacker guitar and bass too. pro setup!!! you did an amazing job.

  • Cracking version! Lovin it!

  • bloody brilliant love it !!!

  • do you have a deal with rickenbacker or somthing?

  • any chance of a tab of the main riff?

  • Now as a big Banshees fan for many many decades I can honestly say that I am well impressed with this cover. Excellent, great vocals too

  • brilliant.

  • what chords did you use for the chorus? I expect they're altered chords on C and D, but I'm not entirely sure.

  • Really great!

  • The tambarine at the start is key. add it please and it will be fab

  • nice!!

  • Well done!

  • wow very tasteful! thanks for that!

  • Cool Man!!!! Excelent!!!!

  • Nice!

  • wow!!! this is a great cover! and i love this song.

  • This is excellent. I'm a huge Banshees fan. You've done the right thing here. Thumbs up!

  • it is soooo good!!

  • Great song to cover I really like your take on it. Although others like the vocal track I don't think it sounds too great through out the song too much effects and processing. Some raw vocal bits here and there would be nice. Might I recommend the Banshees version of Dear Prudence? ;D

  • that s good !

  • really love the doubled vocals. If you solled your cd's on ebay i'd totally buy them.

  • im so entranced....:D

  • I loooooooove your voice too <33333!

  • your cover inspired me to play bass again <3.

  • Out of all your covers that have vocals, I really think this is the best yet.

  • its susan :|? i thought it was susie

  • That was my idea of a joke.

  • @surrealevolution Her real name really is Susan.

  • kool version but where's Siouxsie?

  • I kicked her out of the band.

  • Woah, are those electric drums? Crazy.

  • This was done very well. What sofware did you use for audio recording and what did you youse for video software? What video settings did you use (avi ,mpeg, etc) and what settings did you use for the youtube upload?

  • thanks so much for posting this cover--- this is one of my favorites! really fatastic job

  • You're stuff is so great. You play all of my favorite minor key British alt rock. Keep 'em coming!

  • Funny, I think I actually prefer this version over the original, well some aspects anyway

  • Daniel - You have done well at finding the John McGeoch sound - Johnny Marr was a big fan of his, what tuning did he use? I know Marr has experimented with all sorts of open tunings.

  • Standard tune, at least it is the way I played it.

  • Its an excellent version - i am curious to how long it takes to make such a video?

  • Thank you. For this one I think about half an hour working out how to play it, an hour and a half on playing/mixing the soundtrack and another hour or so putting the video together. So about three hours.

  • Great job covering the song, do you have a tab for it? (I haven't been able to find one on the net that sounds right)

  • on his channel: A note about tabs: I don't know what tabs are. I don't use tabs. I don't give out tabs. I don't smerk tabs. Tabs Schmabs, enough with the tabs already!

  • Wow, easily one of your best. You should release this as an mp3 on your podcast/album thing. I'd buy it even if it cost money!

Now i wanna cover it, lol

  • You should!

  • So I've obsessively watched your amazing Smiths de/reconstructions and have shared them liberally with friends, but I just freaked out when I found this. SatB were my OBSESSION in my youth. We seem to have the same musical tastes, generally speaking, in fact. Also, your collection of amazing Rickenbackers seems to know no bounds.

  • @djsabor - you could be right about the Rickenbackers. I just bought another one.

  • This is great :)

I'd love to hear your take on Reptilia by The Strokes. I'd love to hear how the Rickenback goes through the bridge and chorus. Plus I think you've got the voice for it. Can't wait for your next video.

  • You are incredible! I could watch you play for hours! Please keep them coming!

  • Awesome! How about a Joy Division cover? Try transmission or something along those lines. Drums are great in that song.

  • This is pretty cool, trippy.

I figured out this song on guitar but t chord positions I use are a bit dodgy, your way looks a lot better lol!

  • Cool! I love this song, its one of my favorite songs by the banshees.

I love how the riff sounds on that Ric. Great drumming too! Definitly one of your best covers.

  • Brilliant! A fine treat, never thought anyone could cover this classic so well.

    Thanks.

  • you're really getting better at the drums now, earwicker

    ty again

  • actually i thinks this is your best cover so far

better drums and singing becoming more natural

    great job

  • cool ive recorded arabian knights a while ago i might upload today

  • I did too! Although, my ex ran off and never finished her vocal track. She had only done one take, and non of the backups. You wanna hear it?

  • cool not my favorite by them but a great rendition!!!!! Maybe someday you can tackle Arabian Nights... that "baby machine" part with the hard guitar would sounds monumental through your Telecaster

  • As usual I've accidentally pressed Remove instead of Reply. breton1 said:

"nice surprising cover...always been a fan of the banshees. like your take on the vocals too, you made it your own. was it hard playing like Budgie?"

I was a bit "cage"y at first, and the kit wasn't "cheep", but rather than listen to the "seed"-D, I decided to "wing" it and I think the results s"beak" for themselves.

  • daniel U R fantastic.. what is that drum kit U R using?

  • Again, your taste is exquisite and talent seems limitless. You are truly one of the best musicians I have come across in a very long time and wait excitedly for your next installment. I am sure I speak for all of those lucky enough to have heard you play by saying that I appreciate the effort/ soul you instill in your work. Sorry, but I have to say this but....More Smiths, please! You do them great justice!

  • Nice! I'm still waiting for a Stone Roses cover though...

  • Oh, alright then. Look out for the long ending of 'I am the Resurrection' some time tomorrow. After I've done the weekly shop.

  • sei sempre il solito genio ;) 5*

  • i like the guitar sound--very rich and dreamy. the rhythm is tight, too.

  • Nice! I like this version!
