  • I must say he is strong for a small guy...he could put mass on easy by using a weight gainer and a Creatine loading phase over a six week course..gainers have a good protein/carb balance which works well with mass gaining....i use to use them in strong man contest at 6 foot 310lbs....

  • Hmmm, that was 100 lbs 9 x's, not 115. The EZ curl bar is 10 lbs and then there is a 45 on each side. Still pretty good though; he keeps his body from swinging in his reps.

  • Actually it isn't, I have done that before. It takes much more strength to do it like that and it really helps develop the lower pectorals. Do that often and you will have some really cut up square shaped pecs.

  • When I read all the comments of these people suggesting what Josh needs to work on, I'm getting this picture of the fat trainers in my gym. How can they tell their clients to do this and not to do that, you're not doing it right, if they have nothing to show for it that they are doing it right themselves.

  • with a perfect body like that, i dont believe thats the only routine he does. im sure he works out his legs, shoulders and abs off the camera. just curious, why does he have a spotter who is not in shape at all? is he his dad?

  • Thanks....Josh does a lot of other routines including pull ups, chins, lat and triceps workouts, some crunches but the abs are really just natural ( gotta love those guys with the good genes), push-ups, some squats, and runs a few miles three times a week. I am the spotter by the way, and tried to keep up with him and ended up with a torn biceps and other issues, so now I just make sure he is safe while lifting.

  • Hey what happened to the three hundred weightlifting bench press? He really has made good progress and would like to see what he is lifting now? It's been about 4 months hasn't it? Has he kept up?

  • can anyone tell me why there are trainers who are not physically fit? (not referring to josh spotter by the way) and i don't understand why would someone pay a trainer who is not in shape. there are a lot of these in my gym. josh looks great by the way, if i have that body i will just maintain it. i think that's the best shape anyone can be. bodybuilders who joins mr universe and the likes are not in shape in my opinion. they are just big and bulky and not attractive at all.

  • Lol no shit he hurt his shoulder, I posted that comment on his other workouts. He doesnt warm up, that I see, and he jumps 90+ per set. Not only that, but has ever said if he works shoulders or back? Does he do incline? If all he does is this, hes gonna have issues.

  • It is called a Smith Cage and is made by a company called "Marcy". I like it a lot and it is a very safe way to bench, squat etc. alone. I got it at Sam's Club. About $250 if I remember correctly.

  • Hey...Josh hurt his shoulder last week and is just geting back into the benching. He still could do the flys and curls but everytime he tried to do a bench press it hurt. It still is sore but he is working his way back up and I hope to get it on video by the beginning of June. Sorry fir the delay.

  • i agree with more7612. he definately have the potential to become way bigger and stronger than he is now. Like a lot of people, I'm GUESSing he is more focused on lifting instead of his diet. But hey, maybe he wants it that way. And to ness19dsm: How does MUSCLE turn into FAT? muscle is muscle. It does not turn into fat.

  • about maintaining muscles, why would someone start working out and them quit except for vain reasons. If Josh is in it for his health he should continue it for life. Josh, I hope you become a monster and stay that way well into your old age. Good luck man you've got great support and a good start.

  • Lost definition?? He looks slightly bigger that's all. You can tell he dosn't eat enough or do squats or deadlifts. He is feeding off of his own muscles. I think he's in great shape just small. We can't all be big...there are ways to eat, build muscle and retain high def. It take a lot of hard work and dedication and very few people can handle it.

  • compared to the first few videos, you gained mass, but you lost some definition. is this the way you want to go - from agile you are becoming bulky. think about if you really need the size and what for? remember that big muscles are much harder to maintain - if you stop exercising, they quickly lose their definition and start turning into fat. now it doesn't matter much, but a few years from now it will. read my other comments

  • uh... muscles dont turn into fat.. they can lose definition and start to go away.. so the fat covers it but that takes a pretty long time.

  • not that long. the question is not about looking good in your teens and early twenties, because that's easy, but about looking good and defined and fresh in your late twenties and thirties into forties. and that's when a lot of people regret gaining all that mass in their early age.

  • The bench press is a compound exercise. When he bench presses his triceps are also being stimulated tremendously along with his deltoids. Bigger bench press = bigger chest - triceps - deltoids. Combine that with low body fat % = a body like Josh

  • DAMN...amazing strength. Especially to see you curl what i think is 125 lbs in perfect form. You can see the veins bulge in your shoulders and the shredded muscles. How about a vid of you measuring your biceps after you curl. Would be hot to see how many inches those guns are. Keep up the heavy workouts. Its paying off
