Maybe you are not subjected to stares that much in your country, come over to india & experience it first hand in all its glory, it will help if you are of caucasian or african race; novelty will wear off in couple of days & it starts getting annoying . Trust me staring is very intrusive & creepy, you feel like shouting at the person to leave you alone. For Indians staring is a safe way to take interest in a person from a distance without the risk of talking with the person.
