  • sound from the mix is awesome!

  • We hired Frank, Bunny and the band to play a Carvin concert at the Westin Hotel in LA NAMM 2000. This version was on Carvin's site years ago. The frame rate is low , the song was shortened (bandwidth limitations back then) and the audio is from the video camera mic. A few years ago we put the entire performance on youtube (unedited) and the audio is upgraded. We recorded the show to DAT from the mixing console.

  • @carvinguitars Nice, thanks for the info! I always wondered why it said short version. I'll have to check out your full one. :)

  • hahaha when he had hair! great job

  • pure magic, best cover I've heard, thanks Frank !

  • Bunny and Frank are both Carvin endorsers with a Bunny signature bass and a signature Frank guitar preamp.

  • Nice

I see so many of these amazing chops guys totally flatten songs like this, but to his credit he didn't overplay.

  • 1:25-1:35 was genial. check it out.. seriously, that was true feeling.

  • the best amplifier is my 8" solid state gorilla 15 watt

  • Sound great either way. Stop with the blues/fusion talk. Let the man play what HE want. That's how he got where he is now. By doing what HE liked and wanted. Invent your own style. I may not have my own style, but i don't complain on others who do

  • THANK YOU

  • Frank´s solo is great and very appropiate for the song...

  • Question: Why is this video sponsored by Carvin ? . . .

  • I found it on Carvin's website a few years ago...it might have been a Carvin sponsored performance at NAMM or something.

  • You don't like Gambale then?

  • When I clicked on the thumbnail of this video, that stated frank gambale plays little wing, fusion is exactly what I wanted to hear. see there are plenty of guitarists ripping through this song with great rocknroll licks, but I was hoping, that this is not what I'm going to listen to here.

I was thinking "hey, lets see what frank can come up with over this tune" and for my tatstes, it wasn't even fusion enough, pretty much plain rock.

  • Listening to it again, it's not horrid, but I have heard FAR better. I have always disdained Franks attack, and sound. He is better here than I have ever heard him elsewhere, I will give you that! IMO Like what you like, everyone. It's a free country!

  • Yeah man, it's called respect!

  • But he's not just a musician; he a famous Fusion guitarist, people don't want to see him playing blues, they want to see him playing in his own style which is what he is doing. Personally I think his solo was just great.

  • Fusion influence? He's a fusion player, what the hell did you expect?

  • post a video:)

    broadcast yourself then...

  • The legacy has a real sweet sound even on the overdrive. I'm picking up one of these for Christmas :D I've got a Rhino Black star that has a much more in your face sound to it. This will be a nice addition to the arsenal.

  • You sound really bitter.

  • love this yeah....also see Monte Montgomery's version and for smooth see

    Carlos Vamos

  • I think I would give my pinky finger, on my "right" hand (non-playing hand) for that damn good tone he's got. I don't know. Can you make a Carvin Legacy sound bad?

  • is he playing in a mall!? lol

  • with the lift in the background is this elevator

    music ;o)

  • WoW Gambale playing rock/blues????? Hell just froze over....Very Cool!!!!!!!

  • jimmi and stevie ray would be proud!!!!!
