  • @sillstringroxz they put it up in a tail bag to keep the tail clean for light horses, so when hey show it's clean and long.

  • @hunterjumper798 i understand with light colored horses BELIEVE ME! i was talking about the dark colored horses because it is all in preference and we all think differently.

  • No offence but I hate the

Way people put their horses tails

Like that only when their foaling

  • @slhorselover same.... and wen people r like i keep my horses's tail in a tail ALL YEAR

  • @sillystringroxz @slhorselover If you ride a horse with a light colored tail and you intend to show it, it's easier to keep the tail in a tail bag than it is to wash the tail all the time to keep it from getting filthy. If you ride a horse with a dark tail it's not necessary, but a light tail is HORRIBLE to keep clean without a tail bag.

  • @Syncraftable Oh I know. I own a grey gelding and I've tried tail bags but he keeps shredding them. So I just wash his tail with ivory liquid dish soap every other day for a week or two before a show. I use ivory dish soap because its gets his tail clean, doesn't strip the tail of it's natural oils, and you can buy a gallon of the stuff at the grocery store for half the price of an 18 oz bottle of quicksilver.

  • @slhorselover Tail bags are for keeping the horse's tail clean and also helping it grow fuller if the tail is thin. The wrap the tail when a mare is foaling. I can't put my horse's tail in them because he shreds them, but I know many people that put their light colored horse's tails in them during winter and show season.

  • It's the horse's first time jumping not the rider

  • Good Job

  • Awesome!!!! Super good!

  • Woah! This is his first time jumping?! Are you sure? lol he went perfectly over the jumps

  • Wow the horse is amazing for his first jumping lesson :)

  • Wow that horse did pretty darn good for his first jumping lesson!

  • well done horsey! =) (and rider) haha

  • wow! horse is doing good for his first jumping lesson! keep it up

  • Great job. try cantering around the corner so if u ever do a course hes know to keep moving around the corner instead of slowing down :)

  • beautiful bounce :)

  • If people read it, it says first official LESSON. Doesnt mean the horse hasn't jumped before !!! Jeeze people!! No need to have a go at her about something!! why dont you just ask her "Has your horse ever jumped before, or it this the first time' rather than making assumptions!! People these days... seriously....

  • Doesn't matter, that shouldn't be the horse's first jumping lesson, either. Even if it isn't the first time jumping, it's still a bad idea to jump him in a set of jumps that complicated with a rider he isn't familiar with for the first time.

  • @Popsickle24680 I'm pretty sure it's his owner or something. The horse has obviously jumped before, so has the rider. The horse didn't crash, die, or break a leg, so what's the problem? Not to mention the video is nearly three years old, and that both horse and rider were really good.

  • that was the best first jumps iv ever seen

  • its the HORSES first jumping LESSON. it will have jumped before, just not in a lesson

  • @miaandbramble read the decription. it says 'first official jumping lesson'

  • i know that girl

    lol

    hope she reads this

  • emmm.... is the horses tail blue ?

  • @SibbyyFlynShoe it's a tail bag.

  • @SibbyyFlynShoe- ya its called a tail bag to keep the horses tai from getting damaged, knotted, and helps growth :P

  • is it boring?

  • Its called a tail bag.. people used it to help their horses tails grow out :)

  • wat is the thing on his tail

  • @philippa4bubbles It never said they he hasn't done poles before. and bounces (or grids whichever you call them) are a very good way to train a horse to jump. It's impossible for them to rush in between the jumps, and it keeps their pace, and builds their muscles up.

  • lol. At first I was stuipid enuff to think that it was the riders first time jumping and I was like O.O But then I realized that is was the horse. Gosh I'm so stuipid XD

  • haha guys this is the horse's first jumping lesson... not the persons. lol no one would jump a 3ft grid on their first jumping lesson

  • Woodsmith's the HORSE!! You probably would name a person Woodsmith lol! Anyway that is really good for a time!!

  • that cant possibly be the horses first jumping lesson! im currently training my horse to jump starting with poles on the ground not straight into high grids like that! how old is the horse?

  • @philippa4bubbles I agree! The horse has obviously done a grid before. In any event, it was a nice job by horse and rider.

  • Looks like a natural:')

  • Bloody good horse if this was first ever jumping lesson!! Most horses start off with single fences not three bounces followed by an upright that size........Somehow I think he has done this before!

  • @BreezeyxJulesxTempo good job, I'm started jumping right after i jumped bareback 2 1/2 feet, now i'm down to 18 in so be 22 in then so on :)

  • @Chickolover1

the horsey was wordsmith duh! have you ever know a person with a name like that?

  • that was really good great job :)

  • I really love that horse!!!! What breed is he, he is an absolute stunner!!!

  • @Chickolover1 It was the horse's first jumping lesson, not the riders.

  • @Chickolover1 The horses, not the girl. Duh.

  • wordsmith is the horse right???????

  • @wehatepandas yes it is

  • wow that was ur first time ...... LOTS of jumps? but GOOD job they were okay sizes for a starter

  • ....I want your instructor!! ;)

  • Nice!!! for a beginner he looks sound!!!

  • I dont believe that was his first lesson

  • i cant belive that that was ur first jumping lessonthe last jump is at least 2.9ft.in MY first jumping lesson we jumped like a caveleti

  • lol. that first jumps are better than most of the jumps more expreienced riders/horses do. Including me, lol.

  • good job. Those were a lot for his first

  • those jumps were freaking huge... good job tho!

  • i think they mean the horse, not the rider cause the horse has tape or wraps around his tail, that means he still might buck or kick because hes still green. But of course that was 2yrs ago, hes probably better now :)

  • those are sorta big jumps for a first jumping lesson but he did them well!

  • that looked very nice! :)

  • Haha I think she meant the HORSE's first jumping lesson, not the rider's.... because Smith is the horse not the rider :P

  • THAT WAS AWSOME!!! I'm pretty sure if I had my first jumping lesson The jumps would be tiny! GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • umm. was that your first time

  • are you sure this was his first lesson? unless he's spent 1 or more years doing trot&canter i dont think hes ready to jump those on his first lesson...

but that was a smooth course :3

  • i havent learned to jump yet but i honestly dont want to jump grids on my first lesson

  • ...Does anybody believe in going slow with a horse anymore? That horse shouldn't be jumping grids if it is jumping for the first time.

  • Pretty sure this means this was the horse's first jumping lesson. just sayin

  • WOW i didnt jump that high when i first started jumping!!!! i started at six inches!!!

  • NICE! I miss jumping my horse injured his leg last week and i havnt jumped since. It kills me!

  • Wow that big for a biginer ! no way he could be his first jump

  • I know my i have never had a jump lesson we would mix flat and jumping in but at the end of my lesson i jumped one jump and i sat through the whole thing and closed my eyes thnak god my horse took care of me he just stepr over it lol and stoped right after it so i wouldnt have fell off lol nice job

  • um people, if you READ the title, it says Wordsmith's. Its not the rider's first jumping lesson, its the horse's.

  • @zootycoon2freakgirl

Yea..if it was the rider's first time, she wouldn't look like that. XD She'd be a floppy mess.

  • @HunterJumper175 Its the horses first time:/

  • @alicehorselover

    I know...re-read my comment

  • wow! no way that is ur first jumpin lesson! those r pretty high jumps 4 a beginner

  • guys its the horses first time jumping, not the riders. although the rider was very good =)

  • Wow. So high! And a grid!?!? ON YOUR FIRST JUMPING LESSON!?!!? Thats CRAZY!!!!! And you did great

  • wow a grid and at that height first lesson wow ur good

  • holy crap...thats only ur first jumping lesson and you can do THAT :O i have had two RIDING lessons....i cant even trott :p

  • @haileybabey101 two lesson's isn't that long....

  • no offence but i dont think this was your first time jumping they wouldent put that many that close :/

  • @horseybabe03 first or the horse not her

  • thats good for a first lesson!

  • i think she meant the horses first jumping lesson...the last jump is too big for any beginner.

  • wow... thats class :O

  • This was your first ever jump?

    Wow. You're good :)

    x

  • was it his first time jumping im sure not cuz it would be a huge deal to do that for his 1st time my first time i only went over cross railes but what ever that was awezsome though

  • ok, just got it... smith is a horse :P xx

  • first time jumping or just first actual lesson? that was way smooth, well done!! xx

  • um is that the dudes first time jumping?

  • the last one was kinda big for first time lovely job

  • good jumping! but whyyy r u jumping like 2 and 3ft on a first lesson??

  • @DreamRiderz1 its the horses first jumping lesson:)

ahaha i made the same mistake.

  • @acenkay ohhh haha lol

  • First time jumping ? You did amazing.

  • ohk guys its the HORSES first jumping LESSON! not the ladies and not first jump. and i jump bounces all the time i dont belive only 1 girl from ur barn does it.

  • @polkaspots202 i think some people are starting to get that now. i made the sameee mistake.:)

and maybee the girl that is saying that there is only 1 person that does bounces at there barn, maybee they arnt really experienced riders at her barn.. maybee her barn just has beginners.

  • my first jumping lesson was A LOT smaller then that lol, great job!

  • @CJacklover it was the horses;)

i made the same mistake btw:D

  • there only one girl at my stable that rides over bounces and she has been riding for years. i don't know how much i can beleave that the instuctor pickeda bounce for thier first jump. other wise he has talent and did very well.

  • @cowgirlamber361 it's not the rider's first jump.

  • @cowgirlamber361 oh i thought u were talking about the rider that makes seince

  • thats the 1st? looks like the 80th

  • wait im confused is smith the horse or person??? either way fab job!

  • @wildponyriders the horses;)

  • WOW!! you look like you didnt need to do anything! well done :)

  • wow he did good for his first lesson!that last one was huge and to be able to jump four, close, jumps with such style and grace is amazing!

  • that was really really nice!! :)

  • okay, so it wasnt HER first lesson idiots. it was the HORSES first jumping lesson!

  • I havent been jumping that long at all and my instructor started me off with 1' to 18 in I still cant jump 2' D: I am still working at it though. Doesnt help that the pony i ride was lame for two weeks though

  • gooood!!

  • its not her first jumping lesson, its just her first jumping lesson a specific horse.

  • i dont think that was your very first jumping lesson. i dont know of any trainers who would have you jump 2 foot or a bounce on your very first lesson. you would be jumping something more like one small crossbar

  • @vampirebooks2 i so argree ive been jumping for one year and i can only jump flower boxes ( i sometimes pratice cantering instead of jumping)

  • wow! bounce jumps on the first lesson? i still can't do bouces yet!

  • I never did bounces x'D

I hope I once can try that out.. o.ô

  • i agree....I've been riding 4 4 years and just started bounces with 2 ft.umps like 5 months ago

  • Good job that was very smooth!

  • good job!! :)

  • this is soooo GOOD! WELL DONE!=]

  • he is so good over jumps!!!

  • that was awesome! beautiful horse. :)

  • that was awesome! 5* and faved :) btw the horse is gorgeous

  • that looked very smooth fir his first course.... some horse get ragged... that was great!!!:)

  • yay!

  • Good gob jumping, how high are thoses jumps.....Thoses jumps are HUGE compared to my first jumping lesson.

  • @acenkay

Umm, its not her jumping lesson... Its the horses. Read the descriptions!!!

  • @queensweet124 omfg, calm down.. and not everyone wants to read the description..and even if it is the HORSES first jumping lesson those jumps are pretty big compared to when i see horses having their first jumping lesson..and as you can see i wrote that 1 YEAR AGO.. soo maybe now i do read the description, just calm down :)

  • @queensweet124 uggh, i KNOW THAT.

wow,and i just noticed this was like the 4th time you strating bitching at me.

  • @queensweet124 ALSOOO,lots of people could get confused like i did about the descripton that saysss:"Smith had his first official jumping lesson today. He had fun, and did very well. This is one of the grids we jumped..."like how do people know that the horses name is Smith, and its not the ladyss. you know people do sometimes name their kids weird names.;D

  • @acenkay same!

  • @acenkay i don't think it was the person's first jump. If i understood, it's the horse's first time

  • @acenkay

its the HORSES 1st jumping lesson

    idoit

  • @queensweet124 uhm excuse me bitch?if you would loook i wrote that commet a YEAR AGO!and as you see alot of other people were making that mistake too because they didnt feel like reading the description or didnt read the title correct you fucking bitch. soo before you fucking start calling me a fucking idiot, see when the commet was posted! IDIOT!!!

  • @queensweet124 also i looked on your channel and saw that you seem like a fucking stuck up bitch that thinks she knows EVERYTHING about riding. i saw the commets that you posted on other peoples videos that are probably a waay better rider than you. and if you read the other commets i posted. obvious you would understand that i figured that out, because i was telling people its the horses first jumping lesson. and i wasnt calling them a idiot either.:)(cont.)

  • @queensweet124 sooo before you go calling someone an idiot, read the other commets.btw good luck getting subscribers on youtube you inmature lil bitch.

and dont start to think that im a bitch or anything because i am normally nice but if someone calls me an idiot, watch the fuck out.:):)

  • @acenkay omg i know i started 12" cross rails lol

  • @acenkay I'm pretty sure he had jumped quite a bit before, but this was his first jumping lesson. That would be crazy to let someone who had never jumped before jump that!

  • @horsecrazy098 yeah. i know that now. i posted that commet 2 years ago. ;)

  • @acenkay

    Haha

  • @MrHamoudi234 ?

Incase you didn't notice, I posted that 2 years ago, and I didn't know that it was the horses first jumping lesson until read the description a while after I posted the commet.

  • those look like fun grids :)

i wish we would do something like that :(

  • He did so well!!

You are a very good rider too.

  • He looks so calm jumping over the jumps! Just taking it in his stride and sailing over smoothly.
