  • It takes THOUSANDS of years for coral to regrow. if too many selfish people go scuba diving there will be very few good dive sites left in the world in 100 years

  • hope theyl step on a stonefish...

  • Touching the coral and harassing the turtles with multiple camera flash exposures; while they may have gotten some good photos, it came at a terrible price.

  • SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDOOOOOOOOOOO

WHEN I WILL BE 18 im only 15 now

  • we dont need more haoles trust me

  • wow. that was rude shane.

  • I thought Hawiaans were friendly lol

  • WOW

  • Coral bleaching occurs when the polyp of the coral dies. Coral structures are a result of the symbiotic relationship between a polyp animal and a photosynthetic plant. The plant uses sun energy to fuel the polyp. The polyp metabolizes calcarious molecules found in the ocean to make the coral structure that houses the two organisms.

Changing water temperatures due to climate change and land sources of pollution that change the water's pH are suspected causes of recent bleaching trends.

  • fricken idiots.....touching the coral dosent do anything. I live in hawaii, and if you have ever touched coral, YOU WOULD KNOW THAT IT IS VERY STRONG! You cant break coral like nothin. Its very strong stuff. Touching it is fine, i dosent matter. I dosent cause it to bleach, whatever that term came from. Those are such cool pics! Its amazing, but living here, Hawaii loses its value :(

  • right.. ok just because ur form hawaii doesnt mean ur an expert on the ocean reefs...

  • Aruba is the water clear to. It is beutifull (don't look at my bad english.. Holland... haha)

  • the water is so clear like fiji part of my family lives there on my mom side so i get to swim and dive in this clear water when ever i go to fiji so thats like once every 2 years

  • dont its horribly ugly and destroyed...

  • wow this is my dream job :) to be able to take pictures underwater

  • DON'T TOUCH THE CORAL!!!

  • why not:P?

  • i believe touching thwe coral will make it bleach

  • nice

  • Really beautiful. What kind of underwater camera did you use?

  • pretty

  • diving in red sea better than hawai

  • Please(!!!!!!) Don't touch the coral. It is SO fragile, one small break can take YEARS to recover from. Best to remember to just keep your hands to yourself. Take only pictures, leave only bubbles.

  • Could not agree more!!! DON'T TOUCH IT!!!!!!!

  • yeah i wish they would have told me that when i went snorkling i felt so bad when i found out what it does to the coral... SO yeah people LEAVE the CORAL ALONE

  • ive never ben but i wanna go so bad

  • are there any sharks in Hawaii sea?

  • hhheelloo you dont need to go to school to know the sharks own the whole sea!!

  • yes, there are but they rarely attack, in fact they almost never do.

  • Actully, at some beaches, you can`t go into the ocean at night,(I live here:))

  • you can, its just not a very good idea (I live in Kona we have the drop off so we get sharks at night)

  • thats cool

    im from australia...

    the diving here is great.

i am a commercial diver though, so i dont go out recreational diving that much.

    but i still love it.

    great barrier reef is amazing.....

things here can kill you. but hey, more people die in car accidents in one week than people in the ocean every year.

  • Hawaii is beautiful.

  • ive done scuba and flying lessons and found scuba a lot more fun. Nice pics and groovy tune!

  • any gud snokiling place in the uk

  • Are there any good Scuba diving spots near Connecticut?

    I doubt so...

I want to dive at hawii and the great barrier reef and such but its sooo expensive..

  • I live in CT, I usually go down to Stonington. Otherwise I dive frequently in the Boston Harbor.

  • if your going to go scuba diving, go to the great barrier reef in australia, its awsome, better than hawii

  • i go diving in the maldives, wicked! i'd be scared to dive in australia, i hear there are rather alot of things that can kill you :D

  • me too! australia is i think the most dangerous.

Hawaii is ok its not very likely that you will get hurt and there's no snakes n' stuff either!

  • Ide love to go scuba diving there... ! nice vid

  • Cool slide show. Love the honu's.

  • nice pictures! but if you go again don't touch the coral it can take 100-1000's of years(depending on where you are) to grow an inch and when you touch it it dies and can hurt you too

  • Unfortunately there are no fish due to the over-population of the island... which is obvious in this video. So sad.

  • I'll havin honeymoon with my husband coz' we love diving

  • oh my goddddd i really wanna dive there

  • Please divers -- don't touch the CORAL!!! VIP!

  • Nice vid, We were in maui in June and did Molkini crater, very nice diving...

    Its really very nice.

  • i just went to hawaii with my girl and we went scuba diving-awesome experience

  • awsome im currently in trainin jus got finished confied water dive 1 lol very good pics

  • Amazing pictures!! I got certed with PADI when I was 13 and haven't stopped diving since. Egypt was amazing, but Antigua was another level- it's actually another world down there, it's difficult to describe how beautiful a reef is with all the colours and patterns. Absolutely love it.

  • BEAUTIFUL PICTURES! Thanks for sharing. I really love the background music too!

  • i am getting my certification this weekend if i can pass the test

  • you're going to fail

  • I jsut got Padi certed. like a month ago and im goen to hawaii on july 30th gona love it i dove in monerray in the kelp forest it was great love it lol but i ran out of air lol! btw im 15.

  • I got certified to go open water diving by PADI when I was 11.

They said that when I turn 15 (im 14) I get certified for life.

  • Very Nice! - I also like the song.

  • nice video designs...

  • I have to agree. I started diving when I was 12 and I have grown up doing a couple of dives a weekand i still adore it! its 1 of those things which you never get bored of cos theres sooo much to see and do all across the world! definately try diving again!

  • I recommend SCUBA over anything. I got certified when i was 16 and i havent stopped since, the feeling you get underwater is the most amazing feeling ever. You forget everything that is happening in your life and you just enjoy yourself

  • hey can i ask something? Basically i went scuba diving but it was a very bad traumatic experiance, everything went wrong, the company i was with put me on the beach, put the equipment on me and dragged me out into the sea. it did not go well. Before you did your scuba dive did you practice in a swiming pool or something? I never did, anyone please reply back to me, as this experiance left me really upset, but i still want to scuba dive.

  • I definitely recommend SCUBA diving too. Especially if you're into marine biology! I'd wait till your 13 for certification because I think 12/13 is the thresh-hold between SCUBA rangers (kids program) and regular Open Water Certification. Even better though, go to your local dive shop, they usually have a day where you can try scuba (in the pool) for around $25. The best way to see if it's something you think you would enjoy.

  • I would definatily recommend this i got certified at age 13 and already have about 100 dives under my belt. I went to hawaii for a spring break and if u get the good people u go looking for the sharks. We saw about 8 fully grown white tips. Another amazing experince if ur getting into it would be going to the Grand Caymans, an island revolved around scuba diving. Ive even started looking into careers that revolve around scuba diving. =) Ask if u have any questions.

  • Do you think scuba would be a good thing to learn if your going to join the army or the marines, because im starting my scuba certification in a week at Puerto Rico?

  • Yes, that might help alot actually. My friend's going into the Navy with his scuba license.

  • Awesome! I snorkled in John Pennecamp State Park, Key Largo Florida. Most spiritual experience of my life. Have been a Christian now for 30 years, and this brought me closer to God than any church experience I ever had. It shows you the awesome creative power of the Creator.

  • hey i'm 12 and i love marine bio! and i am going to Hawaii June 8th..would you recommend this?

  • Scuba is awesome! I would reccomend it. It is advisable to get some training, dive with an experienced crew, to rent gear or go out on your own you will need certifications (PADI) . 60 ft is the max depth for basic certs.
