  • @maxistsocialist Jim Morrison was a Zionist as well as the rest of The Doors.

  • @maxistsocialist your shit doesnt belong in rock buddy, take your hate and vent it on a 50 cent video or someshit

  • This movie fucking sucks. Portrayed Jim and The Doors in the worst way possible. And what the fuck was that thing with the kid jumping off the balcony? Just because its a Doors concert doesnt mean kids are jumping off 20 foot balconies unnoticed.

  • Now Val Kilmer is about as wide as a door.

He's not a bad guy, he just doesn't give a shit.

Everything isn't as black and white

  • @arellanochrisatgmail What amazed me about this is that he himself used his own voice to try and replicated Jim Morrison's voice.

  • @LionProductionsTV

    Fuck off mate.

  • @dachefffkoch understand the meaning of numbers

  • @champlaurent1 I agree! but check out Jimmy Fallon's version of Jim Morrison--Hysterical and his voice sounds just like j.m.

  • He met the cop backstage and the cop sprayed him.

  • @LionProductionsTV

    wrong concert.

  • Serpiente

  • i thought that Jim Morrison died :P

  • 03:07 :D

  • I think I could sacrifice the music of the 70s 80s and up to see this gig!

  • another part of this movie that bothered me was the one line in the bar "A Couple Of Irish Guys like us" ... Jim Morrison was of mainly SCOTTISH herritage! Oliver Stone needed to study some more...

  • @CantSaveUs I think they just meant it as a joke cause they were big drinkers man lol

  • @CantSaveUs I´ts not Oliver Stone but the Friend of Jim Morrisson in the Movie

  • Back in the day when women didn't bother to shave their crotches...I love it.

  • @1Jordan1The1Dog1 thats Oliver Stone's best movie and one of my very fav movies eva

  • @3azabb ray manzarek didnt approve of oliver stone's movie he said it was all fake in the movie pam n jim didnt really meet like that they meet in a bar i have it and i watch it like about 2 times a week just to make fun of olivers stoopid directing (:

  • @aldogarcia2011 you have to read between the lines of Oliver's movie. First and foremost its a MOVIE, second, Ray hated the movie cuz Oli portrayed him as a boring fart.

  • @aldogarcia2011 Ray is a strange character...all of a sudden he's giving interviews and the funny thing its all about JIm. Yet Ray didnt know about the footage aired on "When You're Strange" where Jim is flying off in his Mustang. So I dont consider Ray to be a trustworthy source as far as the Doors are concerend.

  • val def got possessed by jim's spirit in this scene

  • the music in the movie sounded much much better than the original Jim and the Doors

  • @3azabb Maybe you need your ears checked.

  • @Haku92292 maybe, but I tell you something, the music played in the Doors Movie and Control movie sounds much much better than the original...you have the right to disagree, or maybe you need to change the speakers or the acoustics in your house.

  • 4:07 WTF is white man doing.

  • Such a badass film. Did my english thing on this lot at uni. my first film studies essay was this

  • Such a badass film. Got me into The Doors. Did my dissertation for english lit on this lot. My first film studies essay did this too.

  • ive got news for you, val kilmer IS jim morrison, thumbs up if you agree he is a reincarnation!!

  • @FMShooter Val is good, but he is not a reincarnate. maybe jim went into val for the film though.

  • According to the Doors Band, this was one of the few accurate scenes in the movie

  • La primera vez qe escuche esta cancion qeria lanzarme al vacio O.o

  • HEY JIM! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • "I'd fuck her but she's too young" funny shit xD

  • Kilmer got the lead role by having the producer listen to original recordings of Morrison. The producer listened, said "so what." Then Kilmer sprang his trap.... those recordings of Morrison were not of Morrison.... but of Kilmer covering Morrison! Kilmer got the job on the spot. Incidentally, Kilmer's been a Doors/Morrison fan all his life.

  • This is the best biopic of a singer I've ever seen. Val Kilmer sounds so much like Jim Morrison, it's eerie.

  • Oliver stone makes Jim Morrison look like a the bad guy.

  • I always will remember Kilmer for this movie! And Oliver is the greatest.

  • Morrison in 'real' life used drugs because he had an interest with tapping into the sub-concious mind.

  • Guy that threw himself off balcony (Hey, Jim, AAAHHHHH!!!). What an idiot!! I believe he's paralysis now. He had a "Million Dollar Baby" moment. Snapped his fucken neck on a seat.

  • best quote from this whole clip: "WUUUUUUUAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

  • It was his beginning, then it was his end.

  • they remind me irish rock group "d'livin jaysus" their singer is awes ome!

  • they remind me irish rock group "d'livin jaysus" their singer is awes ome!

  • this scene was great ...!

  • I could have totally done without the Carly Fiorina ad....

  • Val Kilmer did an awesome job playing the role he was given. I don't think that Jim was written accurately, but that's not Kilmer's fault, he was just playing the part they gave him, and he was good at it. His voice was awesome, he looked and sounded like Jim.

  • id fuck her but shes to young hahaha

  • val kilmer was awsome in this movie. stone couldn't have gotten a better actor.

  • whats the point of the indian i forget

  • FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is val singing this or is this jim's voice being lip synced

  • @john73a that's val singing.

  • raaaaaaaaaaaaaa 5 to 1 baby, 1 in fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive no body here gets out aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiive!

  • Did you know Jim personally??

  • i think its hard to tell where the drugs end and the real jim begins, only because he had that way of being fucked up out of his mind on booze, drugs etc, but at the same time extremely aware of the world around him and what was going on in it, plus being charming (probably the irish in him). but i think, unlike many people at that time, that excess of booze and drugs were just part of his way of saying that he just didnt recognize the laws of society, or even realize they existed at all

  • @noneyageorge85 True...but one thing. The movie made a mistake. Jim was actually of Scottish decent. His fater was Scottish, his mother English...the movive depicted him as Irish in that bar scene prob because most assume the Name Morrison is Irish. The name is actually Scottish but hey, close enough right? lol

  • @xsupermodel87 oh yeah that's right. i notice that the movie made a lot of mistakes, but still a great movie, and val kilmer does a great job of playing Jim (or at least I think so lol)

  • @noneyageorge85 Yeah he does, looks alike & sounds alike. If Jim was older he could be Val's daddy.

  • "Adolph Hitler is alive and well and living in Miami..."

  • I love this movie... yeah.... "Are you ready"

  • The concert scene is actually very inaccurate. The Doors didn't play "five to one" until AFTER Jim had called the crowd a bunch of Fucking idiots.

  • @HufflepuffTheGreat dude its a movie its not supposed to be 100%

  • @fukhouson Oh I know that, I like this movie a lot. It got me more into the Doors and into Jim. I'm just merely pointing out that it isnt' 100%. Then again, what movie can be 100%? It was Jim!

  • @HufflepuffTheGreat actually he sang it and in a break in the song he said it, i have herd the actual live version a couple times....but isnt this fuckn song awesome lol

  • i can see a relation between the doors and the beatles because morrison manzareck are the lennon mccartney

well i may be wrong but thats how i see it

  • @beatlesfan831 No, not really. Ray never sang except as backup vocals and when Jim died. He didn't write any songs really while Jim was alive either.

  • @SmellsLikeReason well i meant that when u hear of the band u a lot of people just think of them

  • @SmellsLikeReason Hey he did sing when Jim was alive, listen to "You Need Meat, Don't Go No Further" its him singing, and on Close To You, and he sung alot live, to give Jim a break, or if Jim was too drunk to sing.

  • @RayManzarekGod Also Manzarek did some vocals when the Doors did a few demo recordings in 1965. Listen to "Essential rarities" and you can hear Ray's voice clearly with Jim's.

  • @HufflepuffTheGreat Yeah, he was a pretty good vocalist, but noone stood up to JIM!

  • @beatlesfan831 If it wasnt for Ray, Jim wouldnt be big, if it wasnt for Jim, Ray wouldnt big be, there is kind of a relationship like Lennon/Mccartney, Jim would sing the songs, and Ray would figure out the notes to it, and write in the chords.

  • 0:44 jim couldnt care less about that cop!

    lol

  • I like the end part when the shaman leaves his soul!

  • THAT WAS HIS SOUL LEAVEING !!!!

  • yeah lizard king forever!!!!!

  • I Love Dis Movie.

  • Val did a good job on the live singings to sounding like Morrison but as far a s Jim in general not so much. Jim was very smart and they made him look like he was in a 24/7 trip. No question he was a druggie but not like this...

  • The Soundtrack To The Movie Is Great, Instead of Morrison, It's Val's Vocals.

  • @xsupermodel87 Absolutely right, I love the movie but I think they didn't show his philosofic and his "wise" side enough.

Still, great performance from Val Kilmer.

    (excuse me for my english)

  • @xsupermodel87 i think its hard to tell where the drugs end and the real jim begins, only because he had that way of being fucked up out of his mind on booze, drugs etc, but at the same time extremely aware of the world around him and what was going on in it, plus being cahrming (probably the irish in him). but i think, unlike many people at that time, that excess of booze and drugs were just part of his way of saying that he just didnt recognize the laws of society, or even realize they existed

  • @xsupermodel87 i think they're trying to show what drugs can do to u more than represent jims addiction

  • @xsupermodel87 He was a very intelligent person, and if he didn't talk like that all the time oliver stone was using his being fucked up all the time in the movie to exemplify Jim Morrison's intelligence. And i do believe he was more often than not tripping balls or fucked up beyond all recognition on other triptemines or alcohol.

  • @xsupermodel87 you sound like that silly keyboard player, how did that fool ever make into any band?

  • yes nice shit

  • @xsupermodel87 who the fuck are you ray manzarek?

  • @xsupermodel87 Could not have said it better. Val over did it on the "drugged out Jim."

  • @xsupermodel87

    ya seriously

  • @xsupermodel87 VAL WAS...HE WENT TO REHAB AFTER MAKIN THE FILM...

  • For those people talking about how this movie sucks and how Stone did a bad job, this scene is extremely accurate. For one, the guy puts the hat on Morrison. There are pics of Morrison from this concert wearing a hat very similar to it. Then there's the sheep. There is a picture of Jim holding one (look in the Break On Through biography). And finally, when he starts talking to the crowd what he says when they TRY to play Touch Me is on an actual recording, which you can find if you look enough.

  • amazing how someone could make a movie about a jim, and leave out the important stuff, like how smart he was, the fact he was always telling a joke, or reading someting. Somethings wrong here

  • your ballroom dazes.....are....ovvver baaaby!!!!

  • Jim is alive forever no matter what. couple months ago i saw Ray and Robby.

  • wow !in a concert? what were they like?

  • love it

  • he said actually after the first part of the song that everyone there was a bunch of fucking idiots.. not in the end...i have the recordings of that show

  • @ricksk81993 will you send them to me please, if you still have them

  • thanks for this. ive been looking for this part!
