Well, the *leaders* of the Rus (at least originally) were from Sweden. But (from the evidence we have; it's a lot harder to tell what the average farmer/warrior/trader was doing than the leaders were, since that was all that was recorded) the bulk of their population intermarried pretty quickly with the local Slavic populations, and both leaders and commoners culturally assimilated pretty quickly, regardless of genetics, as can be seen in the shift in names (Norse Rurik vs Slavic Svjatoslav)

@ManofWar55 Nope, Nowgorod was build later and is a town, the stronghold build by Rurik was called Holmgard their still ruins of it remain.

I agree with your introduction to them, i was loking up angry music to chillax and calm down to by aimless headbanging shiz, friend of mine recommended doing some searches and these guys are pretty awesome. thank the demons for german bands :P

Rebellion is awesome. Their vocals remind me of Alestorm for some reason; I don't know why.
