  • Thank you Aaron for sharing your wonderful photo collection of Anita Page. What a wonderful and beautiful actress she was! She danced her way into my heart in Our Dancing Daughters, and gave the performance of her life in Broadway Melody, helping it to win the best picture academy award of 1929. There's a new star in heaven tonight. May she rest in peace and her fame live on!

  • This is a great tribute. Anita will sure be missed.

  • She left us this morning :(

  • I know, so few of that generation left now. Makes me very sad.

  • It is sad, but she was 98, and had a great life.

  • ever since I saw her in Our Dancing Daughters I fell in love with her! I thought she was the best in the film.

  • Anita was a HUGE star in USA,it wasn't so much Britain.

I have a myspace page for Anita, but I'm not sure I'm allowed to place links here...just search for it.

    I love this tribute,wonderful.

  • Great fashions and background music....

  • This is a fabulous montage of a silent star I confess I hadn't heard of. I'm not a neophyte to silent cinema; after 40 years of studying and admiring the American silent era, even minor stars, since I was a kid, I thought no silent star had escaped my awareness. Once again, you've goofed me! Britain and USA obviously has separate priorities, even concerning early Hollywood. Whom we thought were minor players, evidently in Britain were big stars. This photo montage is terrific.

  • The Original Victoria Band (1989)

  • I have this song on a piano roll. "Rhythm of the Day," I think it's called. Nice stills, great recording! Who's the band?
