mode 2 is airplane mode while mode 1 is helicopter mode I think with an easy star that doesnt have ailerons you could use the aileron stick for the rudder hence maybe that would be mode3

Wrong. Mode 2 to throttle/rudder/yaw = left stick and aileron/elevator/cyclic = right stick.

You can look mode 1 up for yourself. The modes are not plane/heli dependent.

The mode shown on the video is just 3 fucked up channels.

no...that's definitely mode 1. notice the right stick's up/down movement is not controlled with a spring.

only rudder...buy the multiplex parkfun scout! it's a very good beginner's plane=> it has got wheels, ailerons and rudder!!! 4-channel...i broke 2props in 20secs:p

It doesnt have ailerons, but it flies just as good without, though many people make there own ailerons for it, which just make it fly even better! :)

It doesn't have ailerons, but it is easy to add as I did on several models from Multiplex. The rudder is too small and there are many mods that you can find in forums to increase the control surface

Mode 2 here and I'm in the UK. I can see that mode 1 might be better for left handed people. But it is certainly counterintuitive if you are right handed. If your right handed and you are leaning RC, you want your right hand (the one with the faster connection to your brain) controlling the primary flight controls.

doesn't make a difference how you control the plane, mode 1 or 2, it's all about pilot preference

why is your tx switched? I thought it was left stick is rudder and throttle and right stick is ailerons and elevator? Did you do that? or was that how your hitec radio is. i bought this Optic 6 also and its the setup i have discribed.

mode 1 is used by 90% of modellers... in europe is most used standard.... its logic and normal for me...
