  • It is the Oils or whatever it is in the new muffler burning off, This video was within 20 minutes of it getting installed. There was nothin wrong with my car it's just something mufflers with packing do

  • hey homeboy when i change the muffler of my car do i have to change something also cuz i had a mazda protege 96 and when i changed the muffler the fucking sound was good after 8 months my car was dead i lost one of my cld and the cheak engine was on

  • i've had my muffler since late of 2005 and i havent changed anything, i did do a cat back setup, took out the resonator but did 2.25 from the cat back no problems no sound issues or anything, this muffler is solid...i also havent dented or cracked it open either

  • do you know if the tuner medalion hyper and racing series are the exact same muffler except for looks?

  • i havent heard the racing tip personally but sound all comes from the size of the can, thats why when you see the other 95% of the civics out there with the small round cans they all sound basically the same... i got the wider more ovalized can cuz from expierence it makes the tone more deep and mellow

  • Yeah, the crx with an h22a is really you're best bet for a fast tuner, BUT, my friend's 5.0 mustang was bought for $2,700, he has 1 grand into it, and it runs high 13's, all for under 4 grand total. Speaking in generalities, if you want to go fast in a stright line for cheap and little work go with a musclecar, now if you want it to handle also, and get good gas mileage go with a 4-cyl. Lol, and i know what you mean about the exhaust, I spend a good 480 just for an evo2 catback.

  • well fastman...same instance...take a CRX and drop a h22 in it...figure the crx u can get for 1500 h22 for 4 grand...and your looking at a 12-13 second all motor beast...and its by far less then a muscle car...gotta remember UNLESS you already own the car, your goin to pay out the ass for a muscle car...theres loop holes to every situation.

  • Ok...I'm just going to pout this out there. I drive a civic, and I love my car, but put ANY civic against a muscle car with the same mods and the muscle car will murder a civic. If you do turbo a civic it might beat a stock 5.0, but give that 5.0 exhaust and 4.10 gears (MUCH cheaper than turboing a civic) and the 5.0 will eat you alive. And sorry to Jookz, but a civic that runs low 15's really isn't that impressive compared to a stock muscle car that can do that for half the price.

  • um....*scratches head* you do know that their muscle cars with just exhaust a lil tune up will run mid-low 13's easy on a auto 3 spd. trans......just incase you didnt know....and just to let you know i drive a civic myself...:D

  • also one more thing...the thing about the sound of the "fart-cans" "bumble Bee sh!tter" exhaust...the stock piping of a honda civic...averages about 1.5-1.7 inches um...a mustang or camaro..what?? 2.38+ inches...well the smaller the piping the louder and higher pitch its goin to be...thus the fart cans blah blah blah...if you take a civic and put about 2.5 piping on it...it will have a lower tone like this guys axle back...ricers give Tuners bad names...recognize the Tuners from the Ricers...:D

  • like dont V8/V10 guys understand that a motor with half the displacment is or can put out just as much power think about it...V8 5.0...300HP...theres only 60 HP per ltr. 4cyl. 2.0 220HP theres 110HP per ltr. so in thus saying if...and if...you were to compare it like that...theoretically (honda motor)V8 5.0 (110 per ltr.) that would make 550HP...uh......yeah....think about...or you could break down the big american V8 and have (american car)4cyl. 2.0 120HP...sad isnt it...

  • axle back?... is that what u call ur fart cannon/grapefruit launcher. real cars have at minimum a "cat back" exhaust which means from the catalytic converter back... axle back is your politically correct turn for fart cannon.

  • Actually, this set-up is rather tame and clean in regards to your fart cannon comment. The effects of a full exhaust or cat back are marginal on a small displacement engine. Some of the best exhaust systems on the planet are axle back. By the way, I'm not a fan of the overzealous and outrageous typical tuner crowd. I can guess by your comments that you probably are a fan of f-bodies and flowmaster exhausts. For the record I drive a BMW M3.
