Sweet run Fud, you had the whole road to yourself just about. :) As a quick test, take this footage raw and re redner it at 10-15 FPS, that will take out MUCH chopp. ;) Then you can salvage the video, and even 7.4 FPS is watchable, it would look like a webcam. I hope it works, it did for my footage.
I wish my flights would go this quick!!! Only Fud could get away with a vid like this. Kinda sounds like a Drem tool you used in your camera mount series. Now I have to go run in the sand to get my timing right!!
Don't worry if bikes go electric. You can hook up a sound system that plays the sound of an internal combustion engine matched to your speed. Perhaps it can even throw in fake gear shifts.
yeah it does sound close, but that was our groundspeed due to strong tail winds. We were doing about 80% of, or mach .80. True airspeed was around 490kts.
Engines were at about 92%..dunno actual rpm...there are 2 spools, both at different rpm. Easy answer to the question "What rpm?" is..."enough". :)
It does indeed sound like being at the dentist's.

The editor should have blended the frames together (or dropped them) automatically. I don't see any chop when I play it.

The fastest I've been in it was 640 KTS, about 740 mph ground speed, 1177 KM/HR.
