Ah yes I still can hear the entire pub calling for this one and SF really not wanting to give in but OH SO glad they did this would have been in very early 90's at The Grainery in Farmington ME what a night the rafters were really ringing that night I was so glad I went to here them live thanks for bring back such great memories
@MyMoppet52 Well, Schooner Fare having been an official part of my life for so long, I found myself wanting to know those specific details a while back. So I've been looking at old video clips and keeping track whenever I see them live. I've actually been typing up a playlist on my laptop.
@pvtvice I was not lucky enough to see them. If you were...and it sounds like you were...you have a treasure of irreplaceable memories! Thank you for commenting. (I'm glad you found this somewhere.) My very best to you, Moppet
@pvtvice Good comment. Well done boys!!! I'm drinkin' plenty if I have one though. After one they'd be shoveling me off the floor. You take care of my part, ok? ...and I'll try to keep up on my own. Thanks so much for stopping and commenting! Come back anytime you want...and sing along anytime! My best, Moppet
I remember going through two of my father's cassettes of Alive when I was a kid, as I wore both of them out. We used to sing along to this song on car rides. Thanks for posting this, as I haven't heard it in years and it brought back many happy memories.
@nuclearpenguins I'm so glad you found this and had nice memories. Thanks for stopping and commenting. That takes time and is appreciated! Stop by anytime you want to visit and sing-a-long! I never could keep it straight when it gets fast. My best, Barbara
@Garrettk41 Another comment...sorry. I like to get your comments 'cause I go to the songs to reply. When you comment I get to hear them again. Thanks so much!
Believe it or not, this song made me want to avoid Schooner Fare concerts for several years. Why? Because that loud high note Tom hit at 5:34 was too much for my sensitive ears. It was alright on the reccording, but things are always louder live. Looking back, I was pretty silly to let that one thing make me not want to go at all.
@Garrettk41 Oh, no! Well my grandson doesn't like the circus yet because it is too loud. He has been sound sensitive his entire life. I hope you did get to go to many concerts anyway, down the road, and I DO know that many have sensitive ears. Just don't go see Robert Plant anytime soon! :)
@MyMoppet52 Well, all I said was I didn't WANT to go. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), I didn't have a choice. My parents refused to let my dislike of that one note stand in the way of family tradition, so I always ended up going and enduring that loud moment anyway.
@Garrettk41 Good for them! We just put some cotton in my grandson's ears and tell him to get used to it! Looks like they had the same idea. I do know sensitive ears DO hurt.
@MyMoppet52 I still think you could add to that site I mentioned. They just want info and I think you know lots about Schooner Fare. Hmmmm.....you'd be doing us SF fans a big favor....
