Wow.. great video! This is an amazing accomplishment. Congratulations of bringing her back in one piece! My parents were both pilots and they used to slip their tail dragger in heavy cross winds. It was a bit scary being aboard because you are looking side ways while in the slip. At the last moment before touch down, they would straighten it out to land. Actually, that was very exciting! Now, with FPV, you can experience flying like a real pilot! Great stuff Ali, and thanks so much!

Cool video! I'm contemplating purchasing a ChainlinkDare, but wondering if I should wait until they work the bugs out... Also - Just a quick tip from a full-scale pilot... If you're really high, and want to lose altitude quickly without increasing airspeed, you can do whats called a slip. Use full left/right rudder, and then at the same time, full ailerons in the opposite direction of the rudder... The airplane will sink quickly without gaining airspeed! Its quicker than circling! :D

I was worried doing that will send skywalker into spirals but learned that the other day when I was doing FPV and found my Skywalker loves that move. yes it works perfect. @alishanmao Ahh, very good haha! Yea, they teach you that trick when flying real aircraft! If you're high on approach to landing, kick the rudder, full opposite stick, and the plane practically falls out of the sky! Its very effective, and unlike a dive, it won't overstress the aircraft! Have fun!

in my opinion, it's not necessary to do a 'crazy dive',go low throttle until your plane stalls,when it's stalling,keep a constant power so you have controls,then just go max power to get out the stall then land,BTW,nice video

Have you experimented with using the ESC brake to stop the prop from spinning while gliding? I understand that it creates less drag if it is stopped but I don't know about performance loss during powered flight....

Thanks for sharing! Simply amazing flight. Have you made any modifications to the horizontal stabilizer in the back? I think my stabilizer wobbles a bit when it's windy... I find it great that you've written what equipment you did use in the beginning. Have you ever thought about using an diversity controller for your video rx? I used to fly like you with my patch mounted on a backplate but I find it more easy to mount my antennas on a hardcase box ... :-)

@FPVStockholm well i like the patch on my back, cuz i can turn when ever video distorts and get it back clear. for now i do not fly more than 5km or stay under 10km mostly on longest flights so no need of diversity on video. my stabilizers on back on skywalker have CF rods inside :)

@alishanmao I see your point there and the backplate is the only way to look like a robot pilot, isn't it?:) Aha, so you've added some more rods than just the included carbon fibre strip? I did add a carbon strip for the elevator rudder but those two are just not enough I think!

Really like your FPV videos, but would be really keen to see with the OSD and an explanation of what all the various telemetry you get means. I'm presuming this is video from the GoPro and you FPV camera is the little one on the front. Can you not take a video output from the GoPro at the same time as recording as well ?
