I just got this Blackberry Bold with Tmobile about a week ago and I'm noticing there's a white noise when I turn the volume up. Especially on the Motorola headset I use... Does anyone else notice this?

@canvasguy That's true, however, Blackberries are extremely customizable phones that can really work for anyone. I'm a 17 year old girl who's never worked a day in an office and for me, it's just a very cool, sleek phone with a ton of cool features and apps that all my friends with touchscreen phones are jealous of. I guarantee no two Blackberries are the same because they are so customizable and user-friendly that each person's is different. They aren't boring, they are awesome.

Ok if someone who has this wants to answer a few questions? I have had two iphones and want something new. AFAIK the only thing tha compares is blackberries. What kind of web speed are we looking at? Anyone done a speed test with 3g? I was always on the web with the iphone. Does this have full web browsing and do the pages look good?

well it happend to my friend once and also some of my country local Telecoms i'm a ( CSR ) and yeah you should sub for blackberry data with ur cell sim card then you can browse youtube with your local wifi :)

Normally when I find out that there is a new BB out I think about getting it;I have the 9000BB now and I was waiting for them to come out with something new but now that I see this the new Bold,I don't think I will be buying it.There isn't a lot of differences between the 9700 and 9000 to make me want to spend 3 to 4 hundred dollars on it.I like this phone but it doesn't seem like its worth the upgrade if you already have the 9000.

@itsdagod624 From watching this video and some of these things I have read,there isn't a major difference that would make me spend 3 to 400 dollars on the 9700 if i already have the 9000.The 9700 has a better camera,battery life,preloaded applications,its lighter but thats about it.If i had the money to spend on the 9700 then I would get it just because its new.If you don't already have the 9000 and are looking for a new phone then I say get the 9700

The trackpad wobbles around on most devices and you can run into anything from light leaking through the bezel, to squeeking and clicking chrome bezels. BEWAAAREE!

Beyond that, nice software inside.

It does view Youtube Mobile videos. It does completely delete texts. And no, there is no Flash support, but RIM recently got in an agreement to get a mobile version of Flash on the Blackberry Storm (which may eventually make it to other devices).

You need to be concerned about the build quality when getting this phone. Universally, the trackpads wobble around ... not cool at all. I have one. :-(

I don't know the exact prices, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be more expensive because it's new lol, the size, and the trackpad. This phone has some cool preloaded apps, like facebook, myspace, and other fun mini-games they put in it too.

Don't even think about curve if you want 3g, it doesn't have it. Bold does. Both of them. But the bold 2 (9700), as I said before, is smaller, lighter, it's got the trackpad which I think is pretty cool. And yeah, that's about it.

dude, get the bold 9000. just got mine today coz the prices has drop to $ 100 with 3yrs contract with rogers. i have waited to 9700 bold to come out and realized that it is not worth it. i would rather pay $100 for the 9000 BB bold than for 9700 bb bold for $300. the only different is the camera mega pixel... it aint worth it. if money is not a factor go for 9700 bold than curve. curve has slower browers

both BB have 3.2MP but the onyx has 3G network...which is much faster browers. honestly speaking if u offer me curve for free i"d take it. i had curve it is very slow comapring to BB bold.

love my BB bold 9000 by far the best phone i ever had.

I would suggest the Blackberry Bold 9700 (2). It's upgraded from the old Bold and much lighter. Also the trackpad is much more fluid and reliable than the trackball which can become shifty and sticky. Yes it's a bit more expensive because it's a new phone but if you get it on contract it shouldn't be to bad. Also look into if your wireless phone carrier has an upgrade phone plan which will reduce the price of the phone even more.

size.... this is lighter than the 9000, actually it's almost the size of the javelin (8900)... besides that, from what I can tell on the videos, it's probably the preloaded apps, maybe a longer battery life which I think they improved a lot...

other than that, it's pretty much the same, but I would get the 9700 because of the size and the trackpad dude.. that's reason enough IMO.

The 9700 has more memory expansion capabillity, 3.2mpx camera, trackpad, andmore importantly, 3G, all in the same size package. This phone is better than the 8900.
