I see you had the audience in stitches. I could barely hear your act over the laughter. As a person Elise, I think you're cool. But dear God, if I was in the room when you were doing that act I would have so walked out. How many people were in the room? Did anyone leave while you were performing and you just assumed they were going to the bathroom? They could probably be seen doing the 400m dash right out the door and down the street.
Well if you want the truth we started off with no audience at all (nobody) and so decided to just mess about with Vada Riah for an hour with no script and so it is completely improvised. Then one man came in so we did the whole thing to him to see how long it would take for him to leave. In fact he was pissing himself laughing (that rocking silent laughter) through the whole thing, We talked to him afterwards and he genuinely liked it. The people who get it appreciate it.
If you travel all the way to Edinburgh and end up in a crappy venue far from everywhere that it takes ages to walk to, and get wet every time you go out because it rained every day you tend to go a bit mental after a week or two and start experimenting. This was not our usual show.
We always expected people to leave during the bits of Vada Riah we did in the usual show but in fact they never did no matter how hard we tried. And we tried very hard indeed some days.
Is that supposed to be Russian accents you're doing?

Not really. They come from a small island that is now under two foot of water somewhere far away.

You know, they never specified - but Caspiar does seem to have a very similar history to the land where they lived!

Wow, I couldn't stop watching. It was compelling in a really weirdly funny way. I could stand to watch it for a while longer.

Ollie has done it again! He has distilled this video down into five words: "The other side of wrong." :-)
CampKohler 2 years ago
... but the other side of wrong is 'right' and I am not sure you mean that!
