Did he sneak under there while the lights were out disguised as a ring crew member? I know he doesnt exactly blend in with a ring crew even in their uniforms. Anyone know this? Please reply. Oh yeah. While this itself wasn't the turning point in the Monday Night Wars, it was indicative of the changing tide, as big WCW stars were now starting t jump to the WWF. And yes, while Big Show never ended up a huge star in WWF, this was a very big time signing, as Giant was a main event star throughout his WCW run.

Paul Wight came to the WWF in February 1999. He was named the big show, because he was over 7 feet 500 ibs. When he was in WCW he was called the Giant. The reason he jumped over was because WCW was months away from flying apart. He needed a fresh start, Vince contact Paul. And offered him more money, More money than what he made back in WCW. He done the right move, he is happy to make that he made a good decision!

Wight performed as "Big Nasty" Paul Wight for several weeks before being renamed "Big Show" Paul Wight. He then gradually dropped his real name, eventually being referred to simply as (The) Big Show. McMahon wanted to ensure that Corporation member The Rock would retain his title at WrestleMania, so he had Wight wrestle Mankind at WrestleMania XV for the right to referee the main event.
