  • YA, i agree. I had been using vista and i found that it's attractive with its visual effects. When i compared with winxp, i got a conclusion on their RAM-Vista needs 850mb to 900mb memory, Winxp only needs 200mb to 250mb.

  • it's obvious vista is bloatware

  • does it use wireless connection?

  • Sorry guys but its True Vista is a killer OS with DX10 better than xp and i know every one is gunna say FUCK HEAD USE UBUNTU 8.04 I AM!!!! with Beryl i got XP,Vista and Kubuntu i love both my pc spects

    Intel Dual core 2.71 GHZ

  • vista is really good if you PC is fast enough.

  • i don't want to buy a new pc to have a secure os.

  • then it's your loss

  • You're a noob. No really, you're a noob (vista is really good.) LOL

  • Secure OS, hehe we´re talking..

  • im duel booting xp sp2 with vista premium and when i use vista prem with 2gigs ram Geforce 8800 gts 320mb i run smothe as hell :D i still prefeer xp cuz its more combatible with some programs

  • Vista Rocks- runs smooth as hell if you have the right hardware. On my 22" widescreen Lcd its stunning to look at. I play all the latest DX10 Titles again thanks to Vista. NEVER have games looked so realistic. DX10 Puts the PC back on top Graphics wise with ease.

    My Core System:

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 OverClocked 3.2Ghz

    Nvidia EVGA 8800GT SuperClocked 512mb Gddr3

    4Gb Ram

    500Gb Hard Drive

Displays: 22" WSXGA High Definition WideScreen LCD paired with 19" WSXGA HD WideScreen for Dual Monitors.

  • that wos cool

  • can you tell me what driver you are using because i have the same graphics card

  • The computer is prolly old as fuck. Doesnt matter what the hell is on it

  • I agree man. I like vista over xp for the same reasons. its a fun desktop experience.

  • dont give the guy thumbs down, i agree too. it looks awesome and runs awesome. if you dont blieve me check my vid of me opening tons of programs

  • Same here! Don't give him a thumbs down just because you "TH1NK LLINUX IS BTTER THANNN VISAT FOOOLS!!!!!11". I have used Mac, Windows and Linux, and they are all very good systems no matter what. I do not have a fav OS.

  • me 2

  • Does it work on a Pentium 3 1ghz 192MB ram with xfce, gnome or kde & a 32mb video card (Teppro impact M64 detonator)?

  • Does it lag when you try to run the window animations like the burning thing?

  • Amazing, on my Xubuntu beryl wont start, with about the same RAM/CPU, and a XGL GPU.

  • I just got an old computer with a celeron 633 MHz processor and 64 mb of RAM. I plan on upgrading the ram to 256mb, it has 11mb of video RAM, do you think beryl will run on it?

  • I think it might run, if your computer supports Compositing.

  • holy crap! 11 mb of ram???? i got 3 gigs

  • wow i can barely get xubuntu running on a 2.3ghz cely with 256mb of ram. It runs at low colors for some reason and it runs like crap that computer just sucks probably :P

  • Phluxy: i'm having the same problem as you on a 1.8GHz celeron with 128 mb of ram. I think it's my intel integrated video card

  • i had to edit xorg to get the correct res, GNOME would run with full colors with ubuntu, this won't tho.

  • you have got to be kidding me. that really works on a PC with specs like that? Are you telling the truth?

  • click my name, click Compiz Fusion running on a Pentium 3 (no probs).

he's telling the truth. i'm running GNOME on there, XFCE is really light so yeah, it would run fine. (PS i've used linux for many years)

  • Where did you get this software? I run MWV OS

  • THIS is Xubuntu... -_-'

  • if u want it to work even faster, then use xubuntu

  • I prefer Xubuntu

  • i have one dell latitude cpi d300xt, PentiumII 300Mhz, 128MB ram, 10GB Hdd, is enough to install xubuntu with full 3D?

  • I think you must have a good Nvidia graphics card.

  • I hear ati work as well

  • Ati sometimes can have problems with drivers, with nvidia it works for sure.

  • you can install but not i dont think you will get all the effects working that are possible with beryl

  • I was frustrated the P3 mobos tend to have PentiumII controllers and some have limits of 333 and 550Mhz with the same socket used for the best Tualatins. Powerleap made several discontinued adapters I want to get my hands on to use the Tualatins on older boards.

  • OH DAMN, that application switcher is cool as hell. More videos of this, please.
