There are more people taking this kind of risks trying to write history! space ship one (build by Burt Rutan and financed by Paul Allen) won the ansari x prize, which was financed by the x prize foundation. Robert Bigalow's company Bigalow Aerospace is developing inflatable spacecraft for developing a space hotel one day! Further one there is Jeff Bezos, who is investing in this industry and some others!
