Is it possible for this phone to ever be used in the US? Will it ever be able to work in the US? The reason for my askingis that I will be going to Japan soon, Osaka, and I wanted to get a mobile phone. So, If i brought it back with me to US would it work?

Kinoma Play supports lots of languages (including English, of course). It's running in Japanese here because it's a Japanese phone.

Kinoma works great on my 2 years old HTC s710. It looks great - and is just as fast as on this video. It doesn't have a touch-screen - but Kinoma works just at well using the keys. I love it!

The bad thing about Windows Mobile GUI and Windows Mobile phones' screens is that most of the times you have to use the first finger. You can't use the thumb most of the times. But this could not apply to Toshiba TG01.

I honestly don't see any advantages over the iPhone platform being demonstrated here.

The interface looks unresponsive and clunky in comparison.

You certainly can't tell that this phone is running a 1 GHz processor, as unresponsive as it seems. Even though the hardware is specialized, there is still a sense of inefficiency being shown here.

I see a lot of styling cues borrowed from Apple as well.

Actually not really. Its as smooth as the iphone, faster in some parts. it plays flash it plays DVX it has 2 cameras, 1 facing, 1 away to do video calling. the cues iphone took from others, not the other way around. its larger screen, higher def thinner Micro SD card slot (can add 32gb more) It MULTITASKS!! (which means it can do EAS) without a problem. Iphone has ignored a fix for this. Kinimo play is an interface because WM IU can be manipulated unlike the iphone. Battery last longer.

Funny you should mention such a link between kinoma and Apple.

Kinoma is a company founded by some ex-Apple employees who worked on Apples Quicktime team.

Frankly, I find Kinoma a far superior product to anything else currently on the market. Sure, it isnt as complete as the iPhone OS, and Apples Appstore, but i have a feeling this product is still in its infancy.

Unresponsive? To me the video of Kinoma worked fine.

As jabberwolf lists, it is capable, and truly is a social media player.

Hi, I´m from Spain the first European country where the phone is available thanks to Movistar and I will buy it this next Monday.

I would like to know when will be available and the price of the Kinoma Play of the video for buy it and also I would like to know if will be available in spanish or only in english.

Kinoma Play is installed as default application at least in Japanes version.

I think it's the case in spanish version, as Kinoma play is a "killer application" to show the advantage against iPhone.

I know about the japanese version but I didn´t hear anything about the spanish version even they have simultaneous launch, Movistar not used to give free software to the consumers and if the software is in english I doubt they include it. I assume that it will not be installed in the phone that I´m going to buy so I would like to know how I can get it? Because in the Kinoma Play web page appear an older version even the Toshiba TG01 not appear as supported device
