you can buy one off of ebay, but make sure its not too cheap. dont bargain on quality. your best bet is the store itself, or the official online stores.

VERY TRUE. I get unlimited web, text and 600 minutes unlimited night and weekend for about 80 bucks a month! :) I tend to txt much more than talk but I do have people I prefer to talk to rather than txt! :) G1 is the best!!!!!

yeah :) only thing im worried about is the 1gb cap. I've heard if you go over 1gb in a month, they down your speed to 50 kb/s max...

im in the us... you must be forgetting about service taxes and also the state tax that is required depending on which state you happen to live... mine was estimated at 65 also

i want to install 'cupcake' (so i can record videos and use the onscreen touch pad for texting), however, not only can I not find it anywhere, but I'm concerned that it'll wipe any/some software on there. Potentially, could I install cupcake and not have it mess up any of the original settings but give me the bonus settings I want? I'd appreciate any decent feedack you can give me.

It hasn't officially released yet, though there are versions already out on the net. They are likely fine-tuning it and making sure it works with many applications.

Once it releases you shouldn't be worried about it messing your existing software up.

Come on man I have more since than that. I have a developers version my self and I have a lot of stuff on mine device. Cupcake does not exist. Only way your video can be explained in one word. STEEL. Post a video of u texting with that same soft touch keypad and you will make me a believer

Cupcake isn't real in the terms that it wasn't an update. But it's a tool. And it's being used for the virtual keyboard, and all other future updates for the G1, and other Android phones. The keyboard obviously exists, if you yourself knows what the HTC Magic is.
