  • Great sound...but really...i dont hear Autumn Leaves...too much improvisation

  • very play boy, very nice...

  • way to play it!

  • do you like martin tenor sax?

  • VIBRANT SOUND.

  • Mr Ross, if you were any more cool you'd be frozen! KUDOS! Very well done, sir! Keep jammin' to the max, daddy-o! :)

  • Keep smokin' sax..

  • Very good, i love that kind of sound in Jazz. Non of that smooth jazz crap. this is real jazz.

  • 5 stars

  • a "little bit" less hall on all of your clips would be good. you cant really hear your own sound. it doesnt make your sound better it just sounds that undefinable.. AND it doesnt fit to your "dry" rhythm section. besides that: quite good! greetings

  • I like your tone really nice, like to play that good ^^

  • the old style original made in Germany Guardalas like mine, are no longer made, try ebay, there is a current model, but it's not the same,

  • Where can Guardala tenors be purchased??

I have heard about them but never seen them for sale.

    Sounds good!!

  • thanx a lot, keep on jammin!

  • I like your playing a lot. It's rich and complex like the old-timers -- Coltrane, Rollins, and Klemmer. I also like your mouthpieces. . . That's why I bought several of them for my tenor sax. If I can get my hands on one of your soprano pieces, I'm going to get one of those too. Keep up the good work.

  • Belíssimo!

  • Tubatenorsax

Your sound is very much more complete than most people today. It has not only resonance, projection, flexibility and presence but it has the type of tone that Florida Links have offered those who bothered to tune themeslves into the large chamber and curved side walls. What is an RSR mouthpiece?

  • Thanx for your nice comment, an RSR Jazz model is a conservative metal mpc, with a chamber like a Selmer metal jazz model, slightly smaller, straight side walls, but a lower baffle, and a smaller diameter back bore, I would not call it a large chamber mpc, ironically, it is nothing like a Link, but that is one of the things that make saxing so interesting, rr

  • Hi,

who are you? Talking in such a wise matter you obviously have to be a professional musician, saxophone engineer, or something.. I personally think that you dont have any idea.

  • Hello great playing! I was just wondering if it's worth investing in some java reeds. Do they actually make much difference?

  • I recommend Vandorens, they last longer and play great,

  • Okay Cheers.

  • I use Lavoz, i think they are very versitile. You can get a jazz sound and a warm concert sound with them. But, they are expensive.

  • Hi Richard, which mic are you using while recording ?

  • Groove tubes gt44

  • buena articulación y buen sonido pero tanto reverb estropea el verdadero sonido del saxo.

  • Could sound and well articled . Mr.RichardSaxoRoss....

Could you Please advise me about what Mic do I need to buy if I want this kind of sound or better.

  • HoHoHo stanpaulartzoot learn English, I know you can .

May be you tube will putt a button for you to translate near by " Reply | Spam ".

richardsaxross will not like what you've said.

  • j'aimerai ne pas entendre de réverb pour avoir le vrai son du sax !

peux tu le refaire ???? sans cette maudite reverb

  • Very well played. I like improvising to this song, and your phrases are quite different, perhaps better than what I play.

  • thank you, keep in jamming!

  • i really like the sound of the colossus i find it much sweeter sounding than the cheater.. u are making them correct?

  • I wish i could come up with some of the melodic lines you come out with

  • thank you!, just keep on listening to music!
