One problem is that the psychiatrists refuse to admit their science is 90% conjecture. If they were more humble they might be more respectful of the patients. Another problem is understaffing which causes the hospital to be run like a prison. Also, the unions make it hard to fire careless or brutal attendants.

Why the hell do people work in these jobs if they don't have sympathy and want to help people? It's because they are sick and they want bully the vulnerable and earn money for it. My friend was a cleaner in a mental health hospital and had to stop working there because what she saw upset her too much and she was scared to speak up.
