  • Was an RTO at LZ Uplift 5-69 thru 10-69 with the C Btry 4th of the 60th. The last picture is how I remember it. Seems like yesterday I was their. Remember being on guard duty one night. Had 100% on guard. Most of the guys were gone. Told us an NVA regiment was passing by in the mountains. They left us alone. Thank God for that.

  • Last image LZ Uplift was how I remembered it.

NVA didn't defeat us...we pulled out per orders of the politicians that started it. Guess I am a little bitter. The doc who replaced me end of Oct '69 was killed at Uplift...didn't last 2 weeks

  • I was there to service a ground station with 225th blackhawk (mohawk) in 69..the 4th was there then

  • I served here. I completely agree with this video. Mike Parker has now passed on from agent orange. I have no hard feelings toward any of the Vietnamese people.

Warfare between two armies is expected, but the carnage the villagers suffered was dreadful.

  • Thank You from a fellow Uplift vet, albeit from The 4th ID. Worked on some operations out of there in Jul-Aug 1970. Quite some changes! Have plans to visit the Central Highlands again, this time with my sons. Probably this fall or Spring 2012. God bless all who served and those young men and women who are on the line today. Peace. • I was there when LZ Uplift was established in January, 1967. That was one God forsaken part of the world. During the summer of 1967, the name was changed to LZ Davis but changed back to Uplift after about a month. Hello and welcome home to everyone who served at LZ Uplift.......................

  • I was there in the 35th Engineers in 67, they called me Bear, hello to the rest of you guys who were there in 66-67. Vietnam Vet>Tenn.

  • Very well done. Remember todays military men and women who serve today. May God watch over them. Yesteryears veterans who gave all, are in Gods hands now.

  • My father who was a WW2 vet, always had a saying,,Old soldiers never die, they just fade away...God bless all our brave soldiers ,whose lives gave me this freedom today

  • All gave some, some gave all. To all my Vietnam Veterans, thank you for your service and WELCOME HOME...
