Uncle Quagmire -- thank you for keeping this channel going! You are the shit! Swift Kick will never die! I'm a little depressed by the lack of support/fans... I'm not sure I'll ever see a band with this much "Raw Energy" again!!! Rock On Bro...
Is this Swift Kick that used to play in Port Chester at a club called Detroit in the late 70s, the ones who did a GREAT Alice Cooper tribute? He kinda looks like a young Alice Cooper.
Hail Uncle Quagmire, and all things Quagmirish! Thanks for keeping this channel going and reminding us how good Swift Kick was, is, and shall always be!!! With the recent passing of my favorite guitarist, Gary Moore, I had to re-visit this clip to be reminded of how a Strat should be played!!!
Uncle Quagmire, where are all the fans? This is bullshit... are we the only ones who remember SK? Hammerheads, Cheers, Mad Hatter... nobody rocked these dives harder than SK.
We were lucky to experience great live music every night of the week. Glad there are still those around like you who voice their appreciation of bands like SK. All the boys are still rockin', also. Tony is with Enrique Iglesias, John has various projects going on, Richie plays with MUGSY & Ricky plays with Cintron. Look these guys up and check them out if you can. Still awesome. - UQ
@UncleQuagmire Sift kick kicked almighty ass brother! A hard rockin gritty band with a sound all there own! hats off to all the members and continued success and especially my cousin rick panzica!! will always love you guys!
Best cover band ever. They did great VH, Black Sabbath, Joe Jackson, Alice Cooper and many other covers. I remember the bass player from the early days playing "I'm The Man" by Joe Jackson using the down stroke only through the entire song. Very difficult to do. Very impressive! I live in CA now but think of all the great NY bands I saw growing up in the late 70's. Swift Kick (my favorite)Twisted Sister, Rat Race Choir, White Tiger, Southern Cross. NY,NJ & Conn had some great bands.
Once upon a time... there was a place called "Cheers" (on Long Island, NY)... and from the ashes of this diabolical pit rose a monstrous guitar player named Tony...
Best rock and roll band from Long Island hands down. I played with them for a little while and did something minor on their album. Ricky and Tony were great guys to know and hang with
Awesome memories of the Mad Hatter. This brings me back 30+ years to a great time in my life. Saw Swift Kick at Cheers and the Mad Mad Hatter in E. Quogue. Thanks for the videos!!!
TY for posting this.. I used to groupie back then... I did live with Tiny from Spartacus when he was alive and thats how I met alot of these guys playing. Thanks John for all the great memories...hhmmnnn, And thanks to the rest of the guys for rockin this chick for years! Vee
Swift Kick was the first club band I ever saw. They were great!! Especially the Alice Cooper Show they used to do. I've seen them numerous times back in the late 70's early 80's at the Gemini in Yorktown and Detroit in Port Chester
Swift Kick Started in the 70's. Anthony Bruno is my cousin. If anyone knows how to reach him please post for me. If you know him tell his cousin Joe is looking for him.
swift kick should play a reunion concert at the brand new Frank Cariola's Sundance, Route 25a & Broadway, Rocky Point, NY. Its a beautiful club and its the only place that could handle this show. It would be huge.
Don't you just miss these guys?!?!?! When is the next REUNION?!?!?! The band SWIFT KICK was from LONG ISLAND, NY NOT that other band in Califonria. These guys ROCKED the bar scene in the TRI-STATE area and should have made it BIG!!!
