The Lord must open the heart to understand the Scriptures. It will also be the Lord who will fill the heart with the desire to search the Scriptures. There will be no understanding without actually searching the Scriptures. Yet all the searching of Scriptures will prove in vain where the Lord has not opened them up. As the word says, Can man by searching find out God? Who searches God? Who can make God reveal himself?
Is it right to deify the KJV or William Tyndale, no. Do other translators us W.T.'s work, yes. Are there minor errors in KJV, yes. Are there other good translations, a few.
Correctly handles the word of truth? That's false, how do you "correctly handle the word of truth? It has to be rightly seperated, cut straight, I hate translations, buy you a KJ..
@SaithTheLordMinistry : I love the KJV. But don't get ridiculous. I sometimes use the NIV to help me understand some verses better. I can tell you are listening to someone who thinks they know everything. I prefer the KJV. But unlike you, I am not arrogant about it.
Anything that comes before our time with God is an idol in our lives. Far too many people plan their time with God around their schedule instead of planning their schedule around their time with God. If they did the latter, they'd be amazed at the changes that would occur in their lives. This video is telling the the truth. I have experienced it.
Glad he mentioned the part about simply gaining "head knowledge." I had an English teacher in high school who read the entire Bible and knew it quite well, however he was a proud atheist and it did him no good.
