The Corrupted Ashbringer this is purely intentional, and absolutely neat. You used to be able to get the weapon, you know. From time to other, the sword would emit one of those lines at random.

Go to the ironforge mountsains up top with our mount and listen to the wind then after a while something transparent and hard to see will pop out like 5 yards away from you and follow you. It's not seen try it

i know one main reason they got rid of karazhan crypt, WoW is a T rated game, they probably didnt think it'd fit with having dead upside down bodies floating around for a T game. i went there the other day, it's not bad, really, i just wished it DID get made. only reason it's still there is because its out of sight and out of mind, and they dont want to spend money to remove it.

Ehem the "corrupted" sword is actually the ashbringer and fought the scourge and became corrupt. Highlord Alexandros Mograine (holder of ashbringer) died in the battle. I dont know how his son Highlord Darion Mograine received his fathers sword. He is now the highlord in the death knight starting area (look at his sword).

@Zenphose He didn't die in the battle, his son killed him after it was over. His son tried to use the sword afterward but it wouldn't allow him.

@Zenphose youre right, darion got ashbringer because he went to the battle even though his father told him not to, and the corrupted ashbringer was a drop in vannila naxxramas but was so rare, if you DID get it, you'd get a quest to purify the sword. it is one of the few legendaries to be removed. you dont hear about it much due to it's 15% drop rate... wish it was back really...

You know, I think it would be better to show these creepy things the way a player would experience them ingame. Just playing the soundfiles, showing the models or flying around with hacks takes a lot off from the scariness. It makes all of these seem fake, even if they aren't.

@Valeirra that was ashbringer (corrupted) which dropped from the 4 horseman boss in naxxramas you cant get it anymore because the boss that carried it disappeared and baron rivindare took his place. but whats really cool about this sword is that it not only whispers to you but also makes you exalted with the scarlet crusade and hated with argent dawn. and gives probably the coolest quest ever which is to purify the sword.
