  • Damn, those Prius's look good!!!!

  • I wish i had gotten the blue color prius instead of the silver!!!!

    damn,

    damn,'damn,damn,damn

    oh well. What's for breakfast?

  • @crzdbiker paint?

  • great

  • i love Toyota Prius อยากได้ อยากได้

  • Toyota Cars Ingeniery it´s the best of the wold, say what you say, American cars are going down one hundred years in engineering compared to the Nipponese.

  • プリウス欲しい…

  • Lovley car, was going to buy one untill the recall happened. well i still am going to buy one but i'm just waiting till i know its 100% safe and untill i know they've implemented the fix

  • its best car trust me i do have one in nz

  • Its not the pedals dumbasses. And the prius is 100% Japanese. These pedals are not american, and designed by Jap engineers regardless.

    Toyota quality is garbage.

  • Yes indeed, The lowest maintain and service during it's lifespan of the car.. It must be garbage that can last that long...

Prius is still an ugly car, and until they get the plugin out on the market its a car that is meant to send out a image of the person driving it, rather then fuelefficiency..

Well well, Quality cars comes first and formost from germany, safest cars, Sweden, Sports car, (Italia, UK). and the junk cars are MADE IN USE...

  • wut do you do for a living?....just wanna kno b4 i listen 2 ur opinion....cuz Motortrend, JD power, car and driver all say toyota excellent. And toyota does not make the pedals....they are supplied from manufacturer's in the U.S....do some research b4 u talk shit.....

  • @rsxzx6r LOL it was never the pedal, all the cars got an ecu re-flash when they got the pedal shims, funny toyota didnt replace those dangerous defective pedalds but just jammed some flimsy shims in them and re-flashed the ecu to give the brake pedal priority over the gas pedal humm I wonder why - NOT

  • @meattube4u33 im sure u think u kno everything...make sure u kno ur facts...

  • @rsxzx6r I know most prius drivers are ugly cunts and closet cock suckers, which one are you?

  • @meattube4u33 im sure u think u kno everything....u kno every prius driver in the world.......douche

  • Why is that only Toyota is being surrounded and criticized? I mean, the parts that is the main cause of this was made by a fuckin American manufacturing company, right? We have to consider which factory made the fuckin parts. Also who benefits by

lowering the Toyota's image? GOVERNMENT CAR COMPANTY GM or some other Korean cars or something.

  • @hihihohoho007 LOL OMG YOU FUCKING BRAINWASHED FANBOY!!!

Now this whole recall is an american company's fault? Jesus Christ do you know how ridiculous you sound? You're a total fucking idiot...or an asian.

  • @Headshot426 or an asian, You are such a fuckin craker racist.

  • i want one!!!

  • oh god not another one...when is it gonna end? It's still an ugly egg car. You're not saving more money cause the car cost more and insurance is higher. The money you save not getting this car you can use it on a 4 cylinder car with good gas mileage.

  • is it possbile to run the battire,s and electrice motor on di electron current that would be a huge jump in effenicy.

  • If you are an owner of a Prius, you pick up a hitchhiker at the top of the mountain.

And you go down the mountain with charging its battery, and you release the hitchhiker at the foot of the mountain.

You can put stones on your Prius instead of a hitchhiker.

  • Looks nicer than the old one.

  • um is it available now?

  • The whole "It's a bigger carbon footprint than a normal car" crap is total bunk. That report was created and pushed by a PR company that works for Exxon Mobile. "Look that up"

It's not "strip mining", and second of all it's called "Rare Earths" and it's mined in Canada, South Africa, and other places.

I didn't buy a Prius to safe earth - I bought it so I can safe a ton of money on gas and still have enough room to pack up the family and the dog.

  • hey carolblogs, the prius ,has one of the biggest carbon foot prints, before it is driven off the lot, the prius for carbon foot print wise , is one of the most filthy cars ever to be made in histoy of motoring.

you should stop pretending the prius is clean, because it is not ..

  • @carolblogs Did any one tell you that since 2006 all batteries are 100% recycled. You got to stop being fed lies by top gear.

  • @toyotaprius79 No they are made from new material and supposedly recycled afterwards unless they are involved in a wreck and with ( prius brakes failure and unintended acceleration ) thats a big ouch on mother earth.

  • @carolblogs Yeah & obviously the horse shit you post on YouTube is more credible!

  • @carolblogs Production of the prius battery causes more enviormental harm than if you drove a hummer, and if you take the money you spent on your prius and bought a decent used domestic car, you could buy a lifetime of fule with the saveings and not pollute our planet, your just a self indulgent fart sniffing prick in a turd shaped braking challenged recall proned shitbox car that deflated the value of our dollar when you bought it.

  • Has it even been really proven that the Prius Battery is environmentally safe for disposal.

  • @carolblogs You shouldn't have wasted your breath. Most of the people continuing the nonsense are the type who drives cars on the opposite spectrum of the Prius -- in other words, they're the type who wants badly for it to be true so they can feel better about themselves.

Looking up the '113 million BTUs' figure on Google would immediately get top links debunking the lies right away. The fact that it's still being spread should tell you something about the people spreading them.

  • How many of you naysayers actually owns a Prius? The silence if deafening.......

Handles GREAT, plenty of power for any driving condition except MORON speeding, handles GREAT in snow. Looks great, saves a ton of gas, really quiet inside and out, plenty of leg room.

Unless you have driven a Prius for a few weeks, your negative comments are mute.

  • 21lax sucker, to less money to buy one

  • a horrible car. waste of money and does does more damage to the environment then it helps

  • y did walter say it was a gay car?

  • well done peugeot 308...hdi 126mpg world record...

  • After the nickel is mined out of the ground in Canada, it is shipped to Wales to be processed, then shipped to Japan to make the car, then the car gets shipped back to the States / Europe.

Container ships burn bunker oil - at about 14 feet per gallon, it is about 20% sulfur. The fuel consumption of a container ship is about 14 feet per gallon.

By the time the Pious is actually delivered it has a bigger carbon footprint than a locally made car (ie an Audi / Chrysler) has after 20 years.

  • If the Prius made 100 MPG, Do you think it could be marketed in the US?? NO. Oil companies have lots of say when it comes to politics.

  • @956732775 , and at the end of the day the politics will hit your pocket... :)

  • By Marketing do you mean For Sale? I assume so. I dont think Oil Companies have lots of say when it comes to politics. I dont think they can make the decisions. Politicians do.

  • @956732775 what are you talking about? its already a very popular car in the US. Electric cars are becoming popular in america now too, they use no gas.. the nissan leaf is doing pretty well on the marketing side in america, its generating a ton of interest and buyers on the west coast. Oil companies have no say in what is in demand, if electric cars are in demand they will be made.

  • they can probably make this toyota get 100 mpg but the government would never let that happen

  • Yes that can be done Prius Makeover@Maker Faire--San Mateo, ca --Earth Day in 2006. I think its about $3000 for the converter kit to be installed.

  • I want one

  • The 1984 Honda Civic Coupe got 64MPG on the highway and 48 in the city. There's no hybrid out there today that can match those numbers-not even the current Honda Civic Hybrid!

I test drove a slightly used Prius yesterday. 4 miles of city streets at about 40mph, 3-4 lights and a 1.5 mile stretch of highway. The car's computer said I got only 35.6 mpg for that entire trip.

  • Wow. I love the dash man!! seems like the Enterprise's cockpit! lol

  • ivtec and turbo desiel alsow make a huge driffnce, all an affroidable hyribe mean,s is that they sacfrice enghine qulatiy prefornace and efenitiy so the eletrice system dosent sky rocket the price. i woulhd much rather up garde the preforance and efetceniy of s3000, prouce or vw jetia tdi than waste money on this hybrid carp.

  • i love the front of the car, then the sides are kind of awkward, the slant. and the back is kind of weird too. but the front is awesome! they need to hire a better design team

  • Prius looks like a great car but the body style has to go. they need to make it more sportier imo

  • Despite the thumbs down someone has put on your comment, I profundity agree. The shape of the Prius is certainly a turndown for many seeking a meaner, sportier look for their choice of cars. Unfortunately, Toyota's attempt to lower the Prius coefficient of drag means that ultimately, function took over form.

  • that a good thing why cant they put all solar panels on all cars to make them cool thats a good idea so its not so hot in the car

  • I totaly agree with you on that... they should put that in all cars.. cant stand when you go inside your car in the summer and its sooo hott that you dont even want to be inside the car.. great Idea with those solar panels GO TOYOTA!

  • thanks you

  • It's the COST problem.

  • oh well then they need to find a way to make it cheaper

  • The point of this car isn't just economy but low emissions. show me a diesel that puts out good emissions rating, HA!

  • the volts waggen jetta diesel

  • show me a hybrid that doesent need strip minning in canada for the battery elements, one that doesent travel around the world on polluting ships for production and one that doesent need the battery replaced after ten years. diesels can run off of bio fuel which producing 0 net emmesions. hybrid=gimmicks

  • This is actually a Really good looking car. Imagine if TOYOTA made a sport version.

  • All the Priuses have been economical, especially for their times and still today.

And going off by your name, you seem to be biased to Lexuses. Fun cars with all their luxuries but are not economical, in any way, especially compared to Priuses.

  • yes, i agree that lexuses are really not economical and comparing with the prius, the prius uses fuel next to nothing. i cant say anything about this cars economy, but you also can get very good economy buying a diesel. ofcoure i have to admit that this generation look absolutely great, but the first generation is horrible :DD hey mabye you own a prius ?

  • Oh, well, sadly I've never owned a Prius myself but I have friends who have owned them and I got to be in them and see them. I love them myself and plan to buy one real soon, but I need the money.

You're right though, you can get good economy by using Diesel cars but since USA (where I live) doesn't exactly have very many diesel cars except the Jetta I can't really find one easily. But I also guess you're right. The first gen Prius was a little bad but thankfully they really improved it!

  • Yeah the prius costs as hell :D you mentioned the diesel Jetta, ya know i live in europe and we own a 2006 Jetta 1.9 TDI 105 horse power, not much but its enough :D. i must say that its a very reliable car, its max speed is about 120mph, i bet ya know, that the jettas gas pedal is "electronic" :D and is controlled with some computer that reduses the fuel use a little bit more. even pushing the car to the redline its still economical. but the car also cost.

  • yeah very very nice. Superb HD Quality. Thank you Youtube.

  • nice!!!!!

  • damn it looks sexy!

  • I just traded in my 07 Mercedes E class for the 2010 Prius IV. I must say I love my Prius, I can see why people who have owned a Prius brag about it. I don't have any complaints about the car, other than they run out fast, so you're limited on the color and base option. I am happy with my decision.

  • how much is prius in the states? i mean for not the cheapest one of that line, and including all the incurred fees apart from the car itsself? and is it 3rd generation of prius that is sold in american market? just curious...cheers.

  • About $23,000 for the base

  • thanks for the info...that is about the same price in japan...my one is about 32k with options iv chosen. i wont get it quicker than march next year coz toyota was overswarmed with order...hopefully there will be some cancel order comes out and happens to be in my preference...or it will be a wait...

  • it IS a nice car ^^

but too expensive for a ordinairy student like me =P

    Maby later =D

  • well im not 10yrs old and i am rich from SAVING not from a rich parent, one does not become wealthy by blowing money. LQQK at most rich people and u will see they are the cheapist of them all, thats why there rich! lol POOR people are the ones who brag, and dont have shit. lol

  • IF i was, that would make me a rich little 10 yr old.

  • the new prius is way sexyer in the front then the last one that was made!!!

  • 94 mpg!!! that's a lot

  • 100mpg?

  • If I have the money to afford a Prius V (32K) than I would rather buy a Lexus IS (31K) or Acura TSX (30K) or a 370Z (30K). You know what, if I have that kind of money I won't even care about saving gas.

  • I actually hated the looks of the old Toyota Prius.

But this one looks really good.

I especially like the front when it is in white, it has a certain sporty feel to it.

And the interior looks much more conventional and stylish than before.

  • 1.8 liters..... did i hear that right?

  • No thanx... ill stick with the two V8 cars i have that destroy the environment. 2005 Chevy Silverado and 2008 Nissan Armada. They will eat your Prius alive

  • the money to pay for them is probably going to eat you

plus cars like those won't be tolerated in the future

  • lol, and how do you figure that???

  • they'd have to catch it first

your 2 pieces of shit would either break or run out of gas first lol

  • They'd catch that Prius. The Armada does 0-60 in 6 sec. and the Silverado does 0-60 in 7 sec. So before i ran out of gas I would have caught up to the POS and ate it for lunch. Just FYI... Nissan is a more reliable car than Toyota is so it definately wouldnt break. My Chevy, maybe, but i take good care of it so i wouldnt expect it to.

  • yep, thats why you had that rental car....cuz your truck was in the shop.

    I rest my case.

  • It was in the Auto Body shop, because someone hit my truck. It wasnt in the mechanic shop. It's acually never been in a mechanics shop.

  • Plug the PV up to the battery packs. duh

  • cool

  • A bigger engine .... come on .... pretty soon it will be hummer.

    Is it pluggable yet?

Oh come on Toyota .... get these things up and running as pluggables, and competitive otherwise China will take over everything,

  • Everyone should just walk or use bikes!

    SAVE THE WORLD!!!!!!

  • Wipe your face, you've got koolaid all over.

  • i dont get it.... what is that suppose to mean?

  • "drinking the koolaid" means you fall for whatever activist BS is being served up to you such as humans are the cause of global warming and vehicles like the Prius are good for the environment. Its someone who doesn't care to learn the facts, instead does what is popular at the time.

  • If it is so popular than why is no one riding bikes or walking to work right now????

  • sorry I ment purple

  • It looks way better than those damn orange lights in the headlights, because it makes the look really tacky, I know it's a safety issue over here but couldn't they have come up with something that didn't

ruin the car's exterior color expression, If I were you I'd take out those orange lights & replace it with white ones, now that's the way to do it.

  • I love that sky pirple color, very Tokyo

To bad we wont get that color chart over here

  • we have enuff of there crap here now we dont need more of it ...its funny how the big 3 supported anything [9/11 related]

but all the jap car makers turned there backs on us when that happened ..were was toyota with any help when 9/11 happened?..ford GM , and chrysler helped , but nothing came from the japs

NOT 1 THIN DIME..yet we will support and praise toyota and put down the big 3?

did we put the big 3 down or turn our back on them when they helped with [9/11]?..BUY AMERICAN

  • i guess the longevity of the japanese cars won people's support

  • if thats so then google toyota tundra tailgates..or recalls for that matter on toyota's...didnt toyota have a buy back of there trucks becuase of frame rust?..didnt camry have a few recalls but not the ford fusion?..and like i said before ..how many people realize the jap car makers didnt support anything 9/11 related?..did we forget about that?..the big 3 did ..they take our money but then turn there backs on us when the shit hits the fan. its time we did the same to them

  • true but people think practical when spending their own money. It's a cruel world when word of mouth plays a bigger role in decision making

  • An what exactly did they do.

  • donated million's of $and vehicles ..

    so...were was toyota's dollar?

  • you should google where toyota cars are made now...if you like one face of the coin , why you don't look around to the other?? and remember, that lexus and scion are under the same company, just look where they are made...and the big three lost , not because of their cars, but administration...

  • LOL

  • I don't think that's true , but anyway..Why you keep writing the word "there" I've read other articles with the same thing , where is that from ??

  • shut the fuck up! and stop calling japanese people "Japs"!

I'll buy american as soon as America makes an all electric car.

  • and the litle box has made GM like a little shit.

  • sorry to say but prius in the States is made by North Americans. lol

  • Prius is not made in the states. They are all made in Japan and shipped to U.S. on boats. There is a production plant in Mississippi, but it is not used yet.

  • lol, Toyota already had an electric car.

    They had the Rav4 EV.

Read around and you'll find out why it's no longer sold.

  • it looks awesome in white. maybe even a little sporty.

  • Outdated technology, time to move forward.

  • Still bs. stupid car companies destroying the world.

  • yet u own a car, and use airplanes to fly.

  • it runs on car farts!

  • haha!! I loved it! It was awesome! Wait is there a bigger word for awesome? How about the video was incredible!!! :)

  • cools itself AWESOME!!

  • Still not a plug-in hybrid? FAIL.

  • Fail? it's an awesome peace of engineering. Tell me another car that is as efficient as this one.

  • an old prius that's a plug in.

it is an awesome piece of engineering. but for some reason hybrid car makers refuse to add a simple plug so that consumers don't have to rely on gas and can recharge their hybrids at home. it's very simple but the fact they refuse to do it makes it FAIL.

  • well we just have to wait for GMs Volt.

  • Volt sucks it uses fosil fuel engine to create an electric energy......

  • toyota ichiban!!!

  • go TOYOTA!

  • i think its a great looking car but im werid i love cars with automatic on the steering wheel colmion if thay had in todays hybrid cars i will be more intreted in buying one for the opion alone if you dont know what im talking about think how cars were made in 30 years ago like a mercury markquis automatic stick is on the steering wheel colom or a dodge caravan only thing im saying is a dont like automatic on the floor so plses give me an opion like that ill by a hybrid

  • Great new car! Hope they continue making more fuel efficient cars or even, hopefully sooner than later, hydrogen ones.

  • very good job

this is the type of technology we need

  • It's nice and everything, but it's not much of energy saving compare to riding bicycle and it doesn't solve the inner city congestion.

Use of bicycles should be encouraged instead.

  • yes bikes are good for single people who don't need to travel far but as for going out of town or to work across a big city or on a trip with the family to the mall cars are needed, and in these days fuel efficient cars are needed. thx toyota!

  • y2k3100:

By using folding bicycle and the combination of bus and train, most people can live without use of cars. Statistics shows over 50% of car use are less than 2 miles.

Biggest problem we have now is that we are so used to get around with cars that we give up the idea of other ways before even think about it.

We have line of cars waiting to pick up kids from school bus stop to their homes 200 yards away, every week days. They gave up on idea of walking long time ago.

  • I like the idea, but here in Miami, you cannot rely on public transportation...

  • bikes are only good for close places.

  • JUKIO01:

Some people ride 20 miles one way every day to commute. 10 miles, easy for everybody unless you are physically very unfit or have some handicap.

That covers majority of people. You are giving up the idea before even try it.

People make all kinds of excuse not to use their own legs, thus causing the obesity. So sad.

  • I'm not suggesting not to buy hybrid cars. It's still better than regular internal combustion engine cars but not by much. Don't fool yourself by thinking that you are doing favor to the environment. Best thing you can do for the environment is not to burn any gas at all.

Buy a hybrid and use it when you really need it.

Cars are not gas powered wheel chair like most people think it is.

  • I agree, but my bicycle doesn't go at 70 miles per hour, and can't carry too much on it, and if it rain...

  • Good job Toyota! 80,000 ordered already? Wow... I wonder how much more order will be here in North America. Improved pwr as well as driving dynamics, also improved fuel economy. Very hard to pass.

  • cool
