for me, tablets are on a lost level, they dont do anything that a fair laptop can do, are bigger than a mobile smartphone (hence no use for me) the capability is better than one of smartphone but still laptop would do the job. why we have tablets??
@lasarousi I agree hence why ive just bought a asus transformer prime as it comes with a physical keyboard and a touchpad to use as a mouse, it also extends the battery life from 8 hours to 16, one major benefit of the tablets is the efficiency in the power and their form factor

@ZKeeper43 Tegra 2 will be fine for everyday use. But Tegra 3 is already out on the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF201! So if you want better performance, you can get it. It is a really great tablet and I love it.
Now that the hardware is there, we just need to wait for the games to NOT SUCK. All the mobile games look nice, but have absolutely terrible gameplay. You might say "wait, shadowgun was awesome!". But imagine if that game were released instead of gears of war on the 360. It would have bombed hard, because the gameplay is awful and repetitive. Now that we have console quality graphics, we should be getting console quality gaming, not cheap rip-offs...

In fact, Sony has talked a bit about this, albeit what they've said is vague.
It would be really foolish for them to help every PSV game get an Android/iOS port, but they can't stop the 360 from getting a lot of ports of once PS3 exclusives either.

@ccaian1 dude the arc sucks, it only has 512mb ram, most of the ram bieng used up on the arc are taken up by the os, widgets, the pre installed networking apps and so forth, litraly the arc is about 2 years behind, considering the droid2 which was released 5 months before the original iphone 4 has the same specs as the arc, you would have a much more pleasent experience with phones like the s2, razr, atrix, nexus, and you cant bad mouth android because of a few crapy devices
Specifications aren't everything kid, and i never said that android sucks, just that its laggy.
S 2 does lag, i used it compared to the 4s. The droid sucks, laggy and useless, the only good phone at that time was the galaxy s and arc, but the galaxy s was even worse than the arc. I'm going to re contract soon, and I'm going to wait for the S III.
But the fact remains, android will never be as simple and fluid as IOS

@zembryoz Yeah but cellprocesor is like 2 in 1 have two functions cpu and gpu+RSX nividia gpu this is the reason why PS3 have the best graphics(not the best in comparison with alienware).And Ram is for multitasking in general not just for games.PS3 ram have 256mb at 3.2ghz(3200mhz) wich this is not a sample Ram.

@zembryoz sorry dude but no . tegra3 and povervrmp4 in vita are not even close in pure computing power to the old rsx gpu used in ps3 . Mobile platforms are having more ram but its not as fast as the dekstops .

What I was saying essentially is that in many ways (as far as the disinterested end user is often concerned - I mean look at half of these moronic replies alone for examples of that) these Tegra 3 devices can offer the 'same experience' as a HD console can and looking into the future when mobile GPUs will have greater image processing capabilities they may well render home consoles redundant as a value proposition.

@TheMaazster So it's queer if you're on a 10 hour bus ride and you have nothing but this tablet that happens to play games? Tablets may not be an XBox 360 or your latest Sager notebook, but they are a hell of a lot more portable. It's easier to bring one with than a laptop, where your laptop may actually be your desktop solution and is already plugged up to a bunch of peripherals. Tablet games = teh win.

SO yeah, for that and many other reasons, tablets/smartphones in general are a huge threat to companies like Nintendo which have traditionally dominated mobile gaming. As for Apple, it'll be fine for a while, post Steve Jobs. In the long run, I donno.

lol the samsung galaxy s2 GT-I9100 doesnt lag at all - and overcloaked+undervolted it beats youre iphone 4s in power and even saves some battery life
with ics on the s2 its a beast

@ccaian1 yea i know its due to the OS, but thats just it the iOS is like being stuck inside a jail, i guess thats why they call it jailbreaking lol, but with android os you dont have all those restriciton and yea it might have been laggy when they first introduced the OS but with every update it becomes smoother and faster, and with this quad core and ICS its going to take things to an even higher lvl. Now back to apple, why do u think apple is adding features that android already has?

@ccaian1 and dont get me wrong i have both an android phone and an iphone 4s, but since the iphone got the iOS update the phones became laggier and battery life has gone down by an hour, not to mention when im playing games on it sometimes crashes, and about a few days ago apple sent out an update for bug fixes, which hasnt realy healped much cause i got the same bugs, now when u take into account iOS features and the OS lags, and Android features and tthe OS lags, google is doing a good job

@ccaian1 dude the arc sucks, it only has 512mb ram, most of the ram bieng used up on the arc are taken up by the os, widgets, the pre installed networking apps and so forth, litraly the arc is about 2 years behind, considering the droid2 which was released 5 months before the original iphone 4 has the same specs as the arc, you would have a much more pleasent experience with phones like the s2, razr, atrix, nexus, and you cant bad mouth android because of a few crapy devices

Specifications aren't everything kid, and i never said that android sucks, just that its laggy.
S 2 does lag, i used it compared to the 4s. The droid sucks, laggy and useless, the only good phone at that time was the galaxy s and arc, but the galaxy s was even worse than the arc. I'm going to re contract soon, and I'm going to wait for the S III.
But the fact remains, android will never be as simple and fluid as IOS

@yourdailycydiafix its more stable because of the os, compared to iOS android is alot more complex, plus the games are created to work on different phone platforms, but android has come a long way with every update it just gets better. As you have seen with the new iOS 5 which got the notific. bar and some of the features android has already had the iOS devices are becoming alot more laggy and the battery has gotten shorter, not to mention the apple server with siri raises the risk of viruses
