Yes! The funny thing about that is that I originally thought that the Dambusters dog was called "Digger"! There's a hilarious bit of the audio narration of Pink Floyd The Wall, where Floyd's Roger Waters is talking about this very point as there's the scene when the dog has been run over, in it. He explains that the dog's name has been changed to Trigger!
Roger Waters: "I wonder why he's telling him that Roy Rogers' horse has died!!"

The problem is a lack of creativity and a desire to be cool~ rather than branching out into the really weird stuff that made their kid's programs so great.
