i know there have been many wild starters In the anime but if for example dawn has a piplup then we wouldn't see a wild piplup.

@azizking there have been planty of wild starter pokemon in the anime. ash's cyndaquil, totodile, treecko, and turtwig have all been wild as well as brock's mudkip and may's bulbasaur.

@ibox15 I KNOW THAT, He started with pikachu, so he keeps him as his starter pokemon, but leave all the other pokemon left from his previous journeys back home so he can start fresh with the new region pokemon.

@zaper684 See Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn. Those had wild starters. Kanto: All Starters. Johto: All Starters. Hoenn: Treeko for Ash and Mudkip for Brock. Torchic never appeared wild however. Sinnoh: Tirtwig( spelt wrong) and Chimchar which technally wasnt wild but he got it. Unova Thus Far: Snivy and Oshawatt. My money is that he will find a Tepig. I want to add that Oshawatt ran from the lab however so it wasnt wild.
