god this the problem with most drivers, the love to have high torque at low rpm so they barely have to work to get the most out of the engine, they dont appreciate the high revving capability of the car. If you truely want to get the best outta the ISF you gotta rev it up and work for it.
@Miike92 2 different theory. M3 is easier to drive, due to the combination of turbo boost with earlier rev range to max torque before gear shift. They get their punch in 2k to 4.5k rev marks anything after they start losing max torque. While the ISF doesn't get its max it'll 4k, but it keeps most of it's torque from there till redline. This drag race isn't very accurate; ISF would hit 155mph before the M3, because of final gear vs torque line. lol M3 won because it's turbo kicked in fully in 3rd

It's like; not everyone can run a good lap with a ZR1, but everyone is becomes talented driver with a R8. The Merc C63 AMG with minor tuning will kill any car in its class =D. Of course Merc tuning is for sure one of the most pricey. Consider this as the first gen of the F they did quiet a good job. hahaha

i think id still go with the Lexus. besides Toyota rushed in a little and i think a 2nd generation will be good and show more promise. all it really needs is a reduction in weight really and it would probably be a correct match. cuz think about it, weight slows down acceleration, gives unawanted body roll and makes the car feel "hard" as he said. so the fact that this car was rush and still came out great, deserves credit. dont get me wrong the M3 is still nice.
The IS-F is so good and it's much better looking than that staid m3. The german have had over 30 years headstart in this segment and tenths of a second here, tenths of a second there....is that the best they can do against this mighty Lexus.I hate to think how the germans will keep up succesive IS-F variants in the future.
IS F is slighly faster and engeneered like no anyother car in its class, but it has some exessive slides .hard to control in the corners that the M3 and C CLASS AMG, but its beuty, its transmission is so faster than expected.

besides the 8 gears gear box is THE FASTEST in the world, and shifts like crazy, also it makes some amazing noise when downshift, so much more fun than the M3, thos M3 is still a more proper track car than the Lexus.

For $72,000 the BMW sucks. It's like; not everyone can run a good lap with a ZR1, but everyone is becomes talented driver with a R8. The Merc C63 AMG with minor tuning will kill any car in its class =D. Of course Merc tuning is for sure one of the most pricey. Consider this as the first gen of the F they did quiet a good job. hahaha

The E9X M3 has a S65B40 NA engine, IT DOES NOT HAVE A TURBO...(are you comparing the ISF to the 335i?) And a Lexus is just a re badged Toyota, its all about branding.

Let me tell you. BMW were made for speed like honda in their class. But there is something about the lexus brand. Like the M3 is a great performance car, but i feel so much more conformable in the ES and in my friends 350, there's just so much damn gadgets in those cars and there are much better built. BMWs are just fun that's it. Like a honda civic, its a toy not a dream car.

your right if ppl are looking to race they will get the ISF because most people race on straight roads anyways... most. Both cars are pretty close but the ISF is a 4L V8 which is bigger than the m3's. I have to say I really like the design of the ISF but lets take a look at whats inside the cabin. I feel BMW's technology is very high, like does isf have the feature that the seatbelt gets handed to you and the awsome cuphlders that come out. But dashboards.. the ISF KILLS , the bmw looksplain

i think id still go with the Lexus. besides Toyota rushed in a little and i think a 2nd generation will be good and show more promise. all it really needs is a reduction in weight really and it would probably be a correct match. cuz think about it, weight slows down acceleration, gives unawanted body roll and makes the car feel "hard" as he said. so the fact that this car was rush and still came out great, deserves credit. dont get me wrong the M3 is still nice.

The IS-F is so good and it's much better looking than that staid m3. The german have had over 30 years headstart in this segment and tenths of a second here, tenths of a second there....is that the best they can do against this mighty Lexus.I hate to think how the germans will keep up succesive IS-F variants in the future.

For $72,000 the BMW sucks. Get the lexus for $60,000 the BMW has shit interior and when Im going to pay $72,000 for a car I want to sit on quality leather not the same shit that volkswagon makes their leather out of, the leather in the IS F is so nice, it truly is beauty within the beast. Then for performence the IS F hauls ass and with a shift time of 0.1 that is faster than a formula racer. The M3 doesnt even hold its value well. I gotta admit the M3 looks hot but for the money Lexus.

I would take the Lexus over the Bmw anyday even if the performance is marginally less on the lexus. Lexus' are way more reliable and so much more luxurious, they are just built to last. It is also just a fact Japanese cars are the best cars.
