I met Max today on his way to the gym and he walked me across the street. He told me about himself and what happened to him. He is such a nice person and I wish so much that this never happened to him, however he makes the best of it and is getting the word out about concussion which as an employee of the Red Cross I am thankful for. Please make sure you tell Max that Julie (who walked to sears) says hi and commented. :)
I do not appreciate getting comments to my profile telling me how much of a dumb F@#K Don Kordosky is, show a bit of maturity please and leave me out of your invitations. I do not live anywhere near Oregon and never have. My interest in this story and situation are for my reasons and I would prefer not have to deal with such blatant disregaurd for human decency.
I understand one's angst, but all things happen for a reason. One must just forgive and go on. What happened, happened, find away to change standards on helmets and forge through life knowing that things could have ended far differently.
Don is now a cop in the town he transfered to, super-entendent, and principal. He walks around the High school literaly bossing around the kids, trying to act big and bad. On his spare time he is mean mugging them in a OPD police car and giving them tickets for un-needed BS. I never liked the guy in highschool. And now it seems like hes trying to control the town. After hearing and reading about this story it is shocking know the same guy trys to run the small peaceful town of Oakridge.
Actually to be more specific, he is a volunteer cop, a volunteer firefighter, super- superintendent, and principal of both the high school and junior high, he has is Dr. Kordosky now, he just finished getting his PhD. in Education. Its not bossing children around or un-needed BS if he is keeping them out of trouble and in their school work. I swear you people need to drop all if it.
I can't help but wonder if the kid had taken the time to tell anyone besides his girlfriend and friends he was having headaches who would be getting blamed. You don't want to blame Max because he was the victim, that is understandable, but he was 17 years old. He was old enough to know something wasn't right. His parents called a doctor, that was it, if they were so concerned before they should have taken him in, xrays/ct's/mri's all available for a reasone!
Im so sick and tired you all getting up in arms over a coach. A 17 YEAR OLD BOY IS AN ADULT, HE HAS PARENTS ALSO. THE COACH IS RESPONSIBLE FOR A COUPLE DOZEN PLAYERS WHILE ON THE FIELD, NOTHING ELSE! Stop being narrow minded idiots. Max isn't getting back the years that have passed, so the people involved should remember what their responsibility to Max and themselves was at the time. Shame on everyone for being less then what God wants from us, FORGIVING!
SickDA if you ever have kids, like I do, you will hope that there is someone in the halls "bossing" them around. I have two children and I know for a fact that kids need constant repetition, constant guidance, and a firm hand. I would rather my child get detention for hanging out in the halls, then to get away with smoking pot in the bathroom instead of being in class. You might see him as a dick, but I just seem him as one more set of eyes watching my kid, keeping um out of trouble!
I dont plan of having kids, not that that is important. You have obvious never seen him at school. He is a complete DICK.. Every time he is on duty he just mean mugs the shit out of everyone. It just seems to me that you are using the coach to blame, when the parent is the one responsible for their own child. The coach has more than 40 kids to watch, the parent has 1. How about some common sense?
Max is your son? I was horrified and soooo saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad to read about Max's (unnecessary) brain injury during a high school football game, and the disgraceful lack of response, with not even a modicum of caring or sympathy, on the part of his coach. And for the OR legislature to remove from the bill two important regulations regarding the condition of football helmets is unbelievable, not to mention unconscionable. Someone should maintain: Then we shouldn't have a football team.
I have a simple questions for you nuvideo... 'm so glad this issue is finally being put "out there" so that parents have the information that you and Ralf didn't. Just think how many kids you guys have saved by your diligence....Just so sad this wasn't considered a priority before Max and others were injured.

I'm sure Max is thankful to have you as parents as well. But what about sending your son into a public school wearing a wire? Whose idea was that? I'm sure it was not Max's.

Great. Then your focus needs to be on helmets, not creating a hoop for quality coaches who do a great job. Common sense rules all in this situation. If you allow your son to play high school football, there is a chance he could be injured. That is a chance that came true for max. You are still ignoring the fact that max LIED to the coaches, and that there was doctor clearance, and that your own wife cleared him to play. How about addressing those issues?
And you went to that man's place of work to videotape and harass him? Again, you should be ashamed of yourself. Actually you are not even worth my time to write this posting. Get some integrity. It would do you a lot of good.
And you sent your son wearing a wire into a public school?!? What is wrong with you? How much longer are you going to brainwash your son? What rational parent would send their chiuld into a public school wearing a wire? Again, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Be sure to pick up a copy of the Sunday APril 5 Register Guard (published in Eugene Oregon) for an update on this heart breaking story and how you can protect your children from overzealous and ignorant coaches like Don Kordosky.
You should be ashamed of yourself for that slanderous article. I wouldn't even use that front page to wipe my behind with. "Max'a law" would be an uneccesary hoop for quality coaches to have to jump through because of you. It was YOUR son who LIED to the coach. It was YOUR WIFE who cleared him to play along with the DOCTOR who cleared him to play. And YOU allowed your son to play. Accept your responsibility and stop blaming others.
The Ephedra was brought to Max's house by who? Don Kordosky, the defendant in the lawsuit!! Smell a little hinky? If Kordosky is sooooooo innocent, how come when the Register Guard is doing a story on Max and offered him a chance to comment he again declined. Max went to Oakridge in Feb and Kordosky refused to speak to him. WHat is he hiding? Pity the poor people of Oakridge. Just google Kordosky and you will see that trouble follows this clown everywhere.
Who found it in max's locker?Who brought it to mr.kordosky's house in max's stuff? It was in your sons belongings the coach was returning to max, your really reaching now, thats just sad.now your trying to blame the coach for your son taking ephedra??????????Thats just wrong......and declining to comment to the news paper?and do you mean the day you rushed into the high school during school?at his work?the day you were filming young girls and was asked to leave?that day?hmm?
That's right. Blame the victim. A 17 year old kid is allowed to play after reporting a concussion, a clear violation of Oregon High School athletics standards. DETAILS WILL BE IN NEXT WEEKENDS REGISTER GUARD. Dickhead Don is a coward. Won't talk to max and won't talk to a reporters. Hmmm. I wonder why??
that's just wrong................you blame everyone but who was really responsible, give it a rest and let the healing begin how long are you going to make max relive it???? yes he is a victim but by choices he made no one else.maybe because you've made a tragic accident into a circus??and for who?clearly not max .
Sorry, but a 17 year old "kid" does share the blame. He could have decided not to play. Hard to do? Yes. But not impossible. By what I hear, his mom, doctor, and you wanted him on the field. But you want to blame anyone... but yourselves. Did you sue the kid who hit Max? How about the turf guy for not making softer grass? At some point, you need to let it go and move from anger to acceptance. If you need a cause, push for better HS standards for helmets so it doesn't happen again.
I have a son at OHS, and I'm very glad we have Don here. I'm not a close friend of his, but we do interact professionally on occasion, and I know how much he cares because I've seen it for myself. There is no way I can fathom your pain, but still lashing out now is not helping matters, and what happened at the OHS football game is what's pitiful. I hope your son gets all the help he needs and wish him well, but chasing Don around with a video camera isn't going to change what happened.
First of all the parent(s) of max need to accept the responsibility that their son was partaking of a substance with Ephedra in it. Secondly, you did know football was dangerous, after all your not a moron. You knowing allowed your child to play a sport where people die every year, you gambled with his life and lost. Film yourself in the mirror and post it here.. It is the least Max deserves.

Accept responsibility for the fact, you did not supervise your son, with regards to his consumption of Ephedra. You also should accept most of the responsibility of allowing him to play football in the first place, "a dangerous sport". Before you film anyone else , stand and film yourself in the mirror for ten minutes and post that here. You need to be the one portrayed badly, not appear to be the hero or martyr for your actions , there is only two people responsible here, Mom and Dad of Max.
I'm sure everyone involved feels sorry about what happened to Max. The intent of my postings, however, have been to allow the whole truth to be shared. Until this point, selected clips of video have been pieced together at the expense of the whole truth. Everyone who reads these postings and watches this video should remain skeptical as to what has been left out. The facts speak for themselves. It is now time to move forward, and allow healing to occur. Thank you.
Give it a rest. The NOCSAE standards are clear. A child who has reported a concussion must be cleared in writing by a doctor after being examined. MS Olson and Max Conradt are not physicians and they reported the concussion. Kordosky did not take the required action. THat is why the school district settled for close to the limits allowed. Can you not read?
We can read and have read... It is very clear that the only person that has not accepted there part in this is you. you need to realize you failed to make sure you child did not ingest a substance that could kill him, you let him play a sport that is dangerous, you knew the risks, you gambled and you lost. film yourself for ten minutes and post it before you film anyone else. Your attempts to put the blame on others are only your guilty feeling surfacing.
SEVEN LONG years my son has languished in facilities and not once did he get a phone call from Don Kordosky. If that is not an admission of guilt I do not know what is. Until he sits down, I will always be there.
Are you meaning to say that he did not show good faith as a coach? If you were in a coaching position and you had the player telling you he was fine, the mother of the player telling you he was fine, as well as a doctor that cleared him to play, would you NOT play that athlete? Given those circumstances, any coach in that position would allow that athlete to play. What happened to your son was extremely unfortunate, don't get me wrong. But blame should not rest on the coach.
Last, why would any reasonable person sit down with you and a video camera after the defamation and slanderous acts you have perpetuated for so long? The answer is that any reasonable person would NOT sit down with you after what you have done.
Regarding the reporting of headaches. Yes, a minor is fully capable of honesty when it comes to answering questions from a coach. In fact, honesty between a coach and a player is a universal expectation. How can a coach be blamed when a player does not report honestly, when a doctor clears the child to play, and the parent/guardian OKs the child to play?
Second, no coach, including Max's former coach, would ever wish an injury upon an athlete. Further, a coach cannot and should not be blamed when an injury occurs if that coach is acting IN GOOD FAITH. In Max's case, the coach WAS acting in good faith. Any reasonable coach would allow a player to play if a doctor has cleared them AND the parent(s) give the OK for the child to play. That is called acting in good faith.
First, I am not kordowskys daughter, nor do I have any relation to that family. I am a third party who knows you have been placing blame where blame is not due for far too long.
If your father would be willing to sit down with Max and me and answer our questions I promise to never darken his door again. Since Max has little memory of any new events he would like to videotape it to show to his mother and other family members.
yes of course I sued Art Johnson. And I won a big bunch of money. But despite teh millions we won we have been out of pocket over $350,000 since the incident. Your father's laziness has ruined the lives of dozens of people from Ingrid to his sister Amamda, his cousins etc. And you all live fat.
Max did not tell the staff abiout headaches. THat is not his job as a juvenile. Because Kordosky is ignorant he did not go through the recommended drills to raise a players blood pressure. What did DK do. Asked him "How ya fellin"? WTF is with that.
Fact #. Once a player is in touch with a Doctor and is told he has a concussion the coach is required to see that the player be released by a doctor. Daddy K even admits this in the deposition, but he said Mommy Ingrid said Max was fine. She has a Masters degree in Education. SHe is not a physician. DK blames everyone, Max, Ingrid and other players for Max's injury.
My dear "immaculate truth" - I'm afraid your truth in "Fact #2" is a bit less than immaculate. The fact is that while Evenus' company DID clear the 20-year-old helmet ready for play, there is no proof whatever that the helmet was tested by Evenhus' company, as you will see if you watch his deposition in the video. The other fact is that the helmet failed MOST of the standards for 2001, but because of a legal loophole, it was SOOO old it wasn't eligible to be evaluated by current standards.
RE:Fact # 2 It is well known that the helmet reconditioning is just a farce, That sticker means nothing. Daddy Kordosky was told by Mark Elmblade of Riddell that the helmets WHS had were "a brain injury wating to happen" Daddy the K did nothing. As a result Max lost his life.
THis is comical. Had your poor daddy not been running for 7 years, never once asking aboiut Max asking where he lived, attempted to see him, I would never have come after him. We did not need to go to court because we got all that could have been gottten from a governmental entity. ($200,000 of a possible $250,000) Come on kids. You know how to use Google. Educate youself. $40million is to make a point
Fact #6: Ralph sued the school district, the helmet remanufacturing company for over $50 million. He settled for a couple of thousand dollars. (When suing for over $50 million and you settle for a couple thousand dollars, you lost.)
Be very careful of your facts, immaculata. You are completely incorrect on the amount of the settlement. You also neglect to mention that the payment of the suit, which still doesn't begin to cover Max's lifetime needs, caused ARS helmet refurbishers to close their operation completely. Good news for folks who want 100% of their helmets inspected by an ethical shop.
Fact #5: Max had a huge bottle of Ripped Fuel in his locker, and was taking up to six times the recommended amount daily. Ripped fuel contains Ephedra, which can result in internal bleeding(google Ephedra and aneurism and see). Max continued to take Ephedra throughout the entire week. This, too, was confirmed by statements and testimony of his teammates and friends.
Hmmm - it's interesting that the person who "found" the Ripped Fuel in Max's locker was Donald Kordosky. You're correct that ephedra can increase the possibility of bleeding. but there's always been a question as to how the Ripped Fuel got into Max's locker. Still, that's not the main point. The main point is that Kordosky ignored the requirement for a written doctor's release and knowingly allowed Max to play with a concussion.
Fact #4: Max lied to the entire coaching staff when they questioned Max about how he was feeling. After Max collapsed, it was confirmed through deposition and statements from Max's friends/teammates and girlfriend that Max was having severe headaches the whole week prior to his collapse. He simply wasn't willing to tell the coaches because he wanted to play.
You're right, Max didn't report his headaches. Max, like most MINOR KIDS was influenced by a coach who belittled the kids if they didn't play hurt. Kordosky, was required to see a WRITTEN RELEASE FROM THE DOC before Max returned to play. He ignored those safety requirements. Don't forget another truth: the school district gave Max a significant money settlement before the case went to court - I believe most people would view that as an admission of guilt.
Fact #3: Max did not see a doctor in person, however, Max's mother (Ingrid) and Max had extensive conversation with a doctor over the phone. Max and Ingrid were informed that Max was cleared to play, and that if Max showed any symptoms of a concussion that he was to contact the doctor immediately.
Fact #2: During Ralph's lawsuits, the helmet Max was wearing was assessed (portion shown in the video) by the leading helmet safety testing program in the country. Not only did the helmet pass required safety standards, it EXCEEDED all safety standards. Simply put, the helmet (despite being older than Max) was NOT the reason Max was hurt.
Here are some facts that Ralph will not put in his video. These facts are from documented interviews, statements, and depositions.
Fact #1: The helmet that Max chose to wear (yes it was his choice) was refurbished and inspected prior to the season. The inspection sticker was still in the helmet at the time of his collapse.
This is a big eye opener. I quit playing football in high school cause Kordosky was such an asshole. He didn't give a shit about any of the players. Especially during my freshman year. I know it's not his fault but I feel if he could have changed anything in that athletic department, he would not have done so. I was friends with both of your kids. Max was a sophmore when I was a senior and your daughter was a grade ahead of me.
You know exactly what his defense is and was in court. If Don Kordosky had no defense, why did you settle out of court? Why didn't you win the lawsuit?
Stop harassing my father at work. It's pathetic and childish. However, I suppose that it just goes to show what kind of a person you are that you would stoop to that level.
Exactly. The videos are chopy to show only what he wants to show. This doesn't show everything. I saw him and his family come and attack Don at a football game this past year. I mean how PATHETIC is that?
Bottom Line: If you get in an accident with a helmet either playing football, baseball or just riding a bike (or any other event while wearing a helmet), IT IS TIME TO GET A NEW HELMET. Don't pass it onto someone else, trash it, break it apart some how, so its not use-able.
You can't fix a brain injury, they are usually permanent. Think about this everyone, You are protecting your head. And please all parents check the helmets. Your child will be very thankful.
This is an important video that is a MUST SEE for all parents of High School and College kids playing competitive sports, as well as the players themselves to be informed. Great job. Looking forward to the documentary.

And you went to that man's place of work to videotape and harass him? Again, you should be ashamed of yourself. Actually you are not even worth my time to write this posting. Get some integrity. It would do you a lot of good.
immaculatetruth 2 years ago 2
And you sent your son wearing a wire into a public school?!? What is wrong with you? How much longer are you going to brainwash your son? What rational parent would send their chiuld into a public school wearing a wire? Again, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Be sure to pick up a copy of the Sunday APril 5 Register Guard (published in Eugene Oregon) for an update on this heart breaking story and how you can protect your children from overzealous and ignorant coaches like Don Kordosky.
nuvideo 2 years ago
You should be ashamed of yourself for that slanderous article. I wouldn't even use that front page to wipe my behind with. "Max'a law" would be an uneccesary hoop for quality coaches to have to jump through because of you. It was YOUR son who LIED to the coach. It was YOUR WIFE who cleared him to play along with the DOCTOR who cleared him to play. And YOU allowed your son to play. Accept your responsibility and stop blaming others.
immaculatetruth 2 years ago
I would not talk to you either, you just called him a dickhead.
csvelemental 2 years ago 5
The Ephedra was brought to Max's house by who? Don Kordosky, the defendant in the lawsuit!! Smell a little hinky? If Kordosky is sooooooo innocent, how come when the Register Guard is doing a story on Max and offered him a chance to comment he again declined. Max went to Oakridge in Feb and Kordosky refused to speak to him. WHat is he hiding? Pity the poor people of Oakridge. Just google Kordosky and you will see that trouble follows this clown everywhere.
nuvideo 2 years ago
Who found it in max's locker?Who brought it to mr.kordosky's house in max's stuff? It was in your sons belongings the coach was returning to max, your really reaching now, thats just sad.now your trying to blame the coach for your son taking ephedra??????????Thats just wrong......and declining to comment to the news paper?and do you mean the day you rushed into the high school during school?at his work?the day you were filming young girls and was asked to leave?that day?hmm?
amosamyk 2 years ago 3
That's right. Blame the victim. A 17 year old kid is allowed to play after reporting a concussion, a clear violation of Oregon High School athletics standards. DETAILS WILL BE IN NEXT WEEKENDS REGISTER GUARD. Dickhead Don is a coward. Won't talk to max and won't talk to a reporters. Hmmm. I wonder why??
nuvideo 2 years ago
that's just wrong................you blame everyone but who was really responsible, give it a rest and let the healing begin how long are you going to make max relive it???? yes he is a victim but by choices he made no one else.maybe because you've made a tragic accident into a circus??and for who?clearly not max .
amosamyk 2 years ago 5

Thank you.
immaculatetruth 3 years ago 4
Give it a rest. The NOCSAE standards are clear. A child who has reported a concussion must be cleared in writing by a doctor after being examined. MS Olson and Max Conradt are not physicians and they reported the concussion. Kordosky did not take the required action. THat is why the school district settled for close to the limits allowed. Can you not read?
nuvideo 3 years ago
We can read and have read... It is very clear that the only person that has not accepted there part in this is you. you need to realize you failed to make sure you child did not ingest a substance that could kill him, you let him play a sport that is dangerous, you knew the risks, you gambled and you lost. film yourself for ten minutes and post it before you film anyone else. Your attempts to put the blame on others are only your guilty feeling surfacing.
csvelemental 3 years ago
SEVEN LONG years my son has languished in facilities and not once did he get a phone call from Don Kordosky. If that is not an admission of guilt I do not know what is. Until he sits down, I will always be there.
nuvideo 3 years ago
Are you meaning to say that he did not show good faith as a coach? If you were in a coaching position and you had the player telling you he was fine, the mother of the player telling you he was fine, as well as a doctor that cleared him to play, would you NOT play that athlete? Given those circumstances, any coach in that position would allow that athlete to play. What happened to your son was extremely unfortunate, don't get me wrong. But blame should not rest on the coach.

Last, why would any reasonable person sit down with you and a video camera after the defamation and slanderous acts you have perpetuated for so long? The answer is that any reasonable person would NOT sit down with you after what you have done.
immaculatetruth 3 years ago 2
Regarding the reporting of headaches. Yes, a minor is fully capable of honesty when it comes to answering questions from a coach. In fact, honesty between a coach and a player is a universal expectation. How can a coach be blamed when a player does not report honestly, when a doctor clears the child to play, and the parent/guardian OKs the child to play?
immaculatetruth 3 years ago
Second, no coach, including Max's former coach, would ever wish an injury upon an athlete. Further, a coach cannot and should not be blamed when an injury occurs if that coach is acting IN GOOD FAITH. In Max's case, the coach WAS acting in good faith. Any reasonable coach would allow a player to play if a doctor has cleared them AND the parent(s) give the OK for the child to play. That is called acting in good faith.
immaculatetruth 3 years ago
First, I am not kordowskys daughter, nor do I have any relation to that family. I am a third party who knows you have been placing blame where blame is not due for far too long.
immaculatetruth 3 years ago
LAST POST LITTLE GIRL AND THEN GO TO YOUR ROOM.
If your father would be willing to sit down with Max and me and answer our questions I promise to never darken his door again. Since Max has little memory of any new events he would like to videotape it to show to his mother and other family members.
nuvideo 3 years ago
yes of course I sued Art Johnson. And I won a big bunch of money. But despite teh millions we won we have been out of pocket over $350,000 since the incident. Your father's laziness has ruined the lives of dozens of people from Ingrid to his sister Amamda, his cousins etc. And you all live fat.
nuvideo 3 years ago
Max did not tell the staff abiout headaches. THat is not his job as a juvenile. Because Kordosky is ignorant he did not go through the recommended drills to raise a players blood pressure. What did DK do. Asked him "How ya fellin"? WTF is with that.
nuvideo 3 years ago
Fact #. Once a player is in touch with a Doctor and is told he has a concussion the coach is required to see that the player be released by a doctor. Daddy K even admits this in the deposition, but he said Mommy Ingrid said Max was fine. She has a Masters degree in Education. SHe is not a physician. DK blames everyone, Max, Ingrid and other players for Max's injury.
nuvideo 3 years ago
My dear "immaculate truth" - I'm afraid your truth in "Fact #2" is a bit less than immaculate. The fact is that while Evenus' company DID clear the 20-year-old helmet ready for play, there is no proof whatever that the helmet was tested by Evenhus' company, as you will see if you watch his deposition in the video. The other fact is that the helmet failed MOST of the standards for 2001, but because of a legal loophole, it was SOOO old it wasn't eligible to be evaluated by current standards.
paxdeo 3 years ago
RE:Fact # 2 It is well known that the helmet reconditioning is just a farce, That sticker means nothing. Daddy Kordosky was told by Mark Elmblade of Riddell that the helmets WHS had were "a brain injury wating to happen" Daddy the K did nothing. As a result Max lost his life.
nuvideo 3 years ago
THis is comical. Had your poor daddy not been running for 7 years, never once asking aboiut Max asking where he lived, attempted to see him, I would never have come after him. We did not need to go to court because we got all that could have been gottten from a governmental entity. ($200,000 of a possible $250,000) Come on kids. You know how to use Google. Educate youself. $40million is to make a point
nuvideo 3 years ago
Fact #7: Ralph also attempted to sue his attorney, Art Johnson, following the settlement.
It seems the only person Ralph has not attacked or sued is the doctor that cleared Max to play.
immaculatetruth 3 years ago
Fact #6: Ralph sued the school district, the helmet remanufacturing company for over $50 million. He settled for a couple of thousand dollars. (When suing for over $50 million and you settle for a couple thousand dollars, you lost.)
immaculatetruth 3 years ago
Be very careful of your facts, immaculata. You are completely incorrect on the amount of the settlement. You also neglect to mention that the payment of the suit, which still doesn't begin to cover Max's lifetime needs, caused ARS helmet refurbishers to close their operation completely. Good news for folks who want 100% of their helmets inspected by an ethical shop.
paxdeo 3 years ago
Fact #5: Max had a huge bottle of Ripped Fuel in his locker, and was taking up to six times the recommended amount daily. Ripped fuel contains Ephedra, which can result in internal bleeding(google Ephedra and aneurism and see). Max continued to take Ephedra throughout the entire week. This, too, was confirmed by statements and testimony of his teammates and friends.
immaculatetruth 3 years ago
Hmmm - it's interesting that the person who "found" the Ripped Fuel in Max's locker was Donald Kordosky. You're correct that ephedra can increase the possibility of bleeding. but there's always been a question as to how the Ripped Fuel got into Max's locker. Still, that's not the main point. The main point is that Kordosky ignored the requirement for a written doctor's release and knowingly allowed Max to play with a concussion.
paxdeo 3 years ago
Fact #4: Max lied to the entire coaching staff when they questioned Max about how he was feeling. After Max collapsed, it was confirmed through deposition and statements from Max's friends/teammates and girlfriend that Max was having severe headaches the whole week prior to his collapse. He simply wasn't willing to tell the coaches because he wanted to play.
immaculatetruth 3 years ago
You're right, Max didn't report his headaches. Max, like most MINOR KIDS was influenced by a coach who belittled the kids if they didn't play hurt. Kordosky, was required to see a WRITTEN RELEASE FROM THE DOC before Max returned to play. He ignored those safety requirements. Don't forget another truth: the school district gave Max a significant money settlement before the case went to court - I believe most people would view that as an admission of guilt.
paxdeo 3 years ago
Fact #3: Max did not see a doctor in person, however, Max's mother (Ingrid) and Max had extensive conversation with a doctor over the phone. Max and Ingrid were informed that Max was cleared to play, and that if Max showed any symptoms of a concussion that he was to contact the doctor immediately.
immaculatetruth 3 years ago
Fact #2: During Ralph's lawsuits, the helmet Max was wearing was assessed (portion shown in the video) by the leading helmet safety testing program in the country. Not only did the helmet pass required safety standards, it EXCEEDED all safety standards. Simply put, the helmet (despite being older than Max) was NOT the reason Max was hurt.
immaculatetruth 3 years ago
Here are some facts that Ralph will not put in his video. These facts are from documented interviews, statements, and depositions.
Fact #1: The helmet that Max chose to wear (yes it was his choice) was refurbished and inspected prior to the season. The inspection sticker was still in the helmet at the time of his collapse.

I wish the best for all of you and max's recovery. Last time I saw him, he remembered me. not sure if he does but tell him Jeff Coxen says hi!
coxen82 3 years ago
This is a big eye opener. I quit playing football in high school cause Kordosky was such an asshole. He didn't give a shit about any of the players. Especially during my freshman year. I know it's not his fault but I feel if he could have changed anything in that athletic department, he would not have done so. I was friends with both of your kids. Max was a sophmore when I was a senior and your daughter was a grade ahead of me.
coxen82 3 years ago
You sure look like the daughter of the principal defendant in the $40,000,000 lawsuit. But what is don kordosky's defense?
nuvideo 3 years ago
You know exactly what his defense is and was in court. If Don Kordosky had no defense, why did you settle out of court? Why didn't you win the lawsuit?
Stop harassing my father at work. It's pathetic and childish. However, I suppose that it just goes to show what kind of a person you are that you would stoop to that level.
DarkPizza 3 years ago
This video doesn't tell the whole story. Don't believe everything you see.
DarkPizza 3 years ago
Exactly. The videos are chopy to show only what he wants to show. This doesn't show everything. I saw him and his family come and attack Don at a football game this past year. I mean how PATHETIC is that?
effit05 3 years ago
teams should spend more on equipment and proper fitting more than winning and we are the best all coaches should have some knowledge of first aid
scndhndmumu 3 years ago
What a great thoughtful response. Thanks. We are currently working on legislation to REQUIRE helmets that are ten yrs old to be retired.
nuvideo 3 years ago
Bottom Line: If you get in an accident with a helmet either playing football, baseball or just riding a bike (or any other event while wearing a helmet), IT IS TIME TO GET A NEW HELMET. Don't pass it onto someone else, trash it, break it apart some how, so its not use-able.
You can't fix a brain injury, they are usually permanent. Think about this everyone, You are protecting your head. And please all parents check the helmets. Your child will be very thankful.
