Actually, creating your own weapons(like Turkey does) is really something clever. Don't forget that Turkey has the highest growth rate after India and our Weapons industry is the fastest growing in the world.

Besides that, being the best customer of USA means not to produce anything and buying everything. Greece should make it's own weapons to have a stronger army by paying less money...

Hellfire MK2 used my AH-64D had 1KM range where Cirit Missile used by T-129 has 1,4 KM Range. And T-129 TUC1 also uses Hellfire Mk2. Means Apache has less range... Besides that, T-129 is faster, More agile, has more ferry range, better targeting systems, NATIONAL PRODUCTION RATE,etc,etc

Both Leopard 2A6 and Altai use 120mm Cannons making them have the same weapon. Altai uses 8CM Depleted Uranium and hardened steel where Leopard 2 uses 8CM Hardened steel. making them nearly the same armor. And again, Altai is faster, more agile, HAS A BUGGER NATIONAL PRODUCTION RATE,etc,etc...

Turkish and Israeli Armed forces are the only 2 Armed forces that have a %100 rate of "Usable Military Equipment". Means all the weapons of these 2 Armed forces work with %100 performance. Armed Forces of Former Soviet Countries have smallest rate of usable equipment with %50 since they became poorer after 1991 and became unable to feed their army with %100 "affordance"... This number is about %99 in Hellenic Armed Forces...

If you were 25 Million and even if you still earned the same money per citizen, You'r military spending would be 16-18 Billion dolars if we hold it at the same ratio with Economical volume. Turkish Military Spending is 31 Billion Dollars(2008est).

SO you need to have a population of 35-40 Million and you need to find a job for everyone(sth very hard)...
