I had to laugh at the point of people thinking we are moving towards equality, people are so blind to the fact that we are moving away from equality and actually percieve the world becoming more equal.

brilliant. however, i'm not so sure there is such a clear distinction between peasant societies and modern military-industrial-civic society - it's just that technology has created cities, but the hierarchical social order remains the same, regardless of Internet bloggers - the internet is just another graffiti wall, albeit one with a wider reach. Man appears to have evolved little from his forebears; the Brave New World of Farenheit 451 in 1984 still operates like a herd of gnus.
