I don't understand why the original frogger music was replaced with Yankee Doodle in some of the later games. I don't really have a problem with it, but I was kind of confused.
I had a BBC Micro as a kid, there were some great ports/blantant rip-offs of classic arcade and atari games. I loved this one but I found myself asking the same question over and over again... Why can't they go in the water? They're freakin' frogs!!!
How did they even get away with making this game. I grew up with this BBC version hopper but subconciously i have always thought of it as frogger didnt think of them as different.
I love this game and had this game back in the 1980's when i had only a budget priced acorn electron.Couldnt afford a bbc micro back then.Poor old days.
No wonder you couldn't afford one, they were very expensive for the time. I saw some prices on a website celebrating retro systems.. I nearly fell off my chair. I had an acorn electron, though I was only born in 83.
:O I love this game, it was so much fun and I miss my old BBC and my Spectrum!!!
Thanks for the memories

well if they went in the water they might get distracted by other things or maybe a female frog so...for the mission its best to cross the river

I've not seen this game for over 20 years, but i played it so much as a kid, i even remembered the sequence of tunes
Brings back memories of me & about 10 mates round my TV at school dinner break for 'Hopper' tournaments lol
I had the Acorn Electron & it came supplied with about 5 games, Hopper,Boxer,Snapper,Chess & one with office programs (Logorythms?)
I loved that Acorn - Hopper & Ghouls were the two standout games i remember

@Btojb Nope - It's 'Hopper', which is a Frogger clone for the BBC Micro
