a) Too many characters would be too confusing for little kids and they probably wouldn't enjoy it very much.

Wow guys.. Its just a movie for kids. Not like they cared about it being correct. I remember being little and loving it anyway. Although I love greek mythology, I just dont think the accuracy really mattered in this movie.

It was a very good selection of animals for this; each form mocks the gods' old position. Zues, the king of the gods in a mouse, Artimis, godess of the hunt is a rabit, Ares, god of war, is a sheep, and best of all, Aphrodite the godess of beauty is a cow. ROTFLMAO!

The movie shoudl have played this up more. The gods played twisted games with humanity thinking they were so much higher than them, but now they are animals, a form below humanity. I'm sure it puts thing in perspective.
