  • What beautiful babies and a wonderful mama!

  • what the hell is up with all the people that have jackrussell terriers

  • it may be gross but after its done there adorable

  • What is the name of the musical piece playing in the background?

  • that is very crazy! how did you know when she was going to give birth ? i have a Jack Russell who is going to be 2 & shes due the end of july & im worried i wont be there for her :(

  • my jrt is due her first litter very soon as not sure who's more terrified lol !!!

  • i had a dog like that her name was jackie and she gave birth to a black and white one

  • Aw

    Congratulations :)

  • how cute. seems like a great mommy :)

  • What a sweet mommy=)

  • that is just what my JRT when she had puppies accept i had her a special bed that was cover for the sole purpose of their birth and she had them in the middle of my floor lol. but when i moved her bed closer she moved the puppies in there herself

  • It's Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D.

  • Good Job!!!

  • what music is that?? i like classic...

  • That music piece is "pachabele"

I can't spell it ! I think Mozart composed it

    Its cool

  • That was really wonderful to see. Thank you

  • Paha i got a few bad jokes for this

    1. Wow. The things that come out of dogs these days.

    2. Dang! what did you feed her?

    xD

I want a jack russell terrier =(. I have been begging for one. Anyone wanna give me one? =)

  • OMG! My jack russell mia is due this month, may 27th. she actually turned one in january and is expected to give birth to 3 or 4 puppies!!!!!!!!!!

  • i hope ur pupies are helthy

  • OMG my female had her secone - last - litter and this morning started having tremors ran her right to 24hr vet - the problem was a calcium deficiency -- now the vet says she can no longer nurse her 13 day old puppies so we had to buy puppy milk and bottles --- the regular vet never warned me of this-- my advice to all who read this give your nursing mommy puppy food and not just vitamins but calcium supplements - I thought just vitamins were enough!!!

  • I have two Jacks, both neutered ...so that was wonderful to see...Thank you!

  • My JAck russell Jackie is having puppies i think on june 4, 2009.... i cant wait im so exited and scared at the same time.

  • wow how lovely but how do you restrict the joining to enable fewer pups ?

  • you dont let them mate and tie as often..duh

  • LOL yeah, cos that really works... not... "duh"...

My little Jack Russell bitch got mated one time (as in a single meeting with the stud dog), and delivered SEVEN healthy puppies 62 days later.

This "restricted the joining" stuff is nonsense, tbh. Even one drop of semen has millions of sperm, it just depends on how many eggs the DAM releases during that particular heat cycle's ovulation period for them to meet up with and fertilise!

    Biology 101.

  • Ahahah the second one like sky rocketed outta her lmao!

  • How Wonderful!!1 what a Good Mum and Lovely Babys WELLDONE!!! THANKS

  • It's Cannon in D by Pachabel

  • What is the song on this video? Anyone know? I like it, and it is good with the video.

  • Wonderful!! 5 stars!!

  • To wedding music? It's a great video...but who's gettin' married? ;) Cute puppie BTW!

  • ah she is a great mum. She will be great for another litter i bet. My jack russell is a boy and there were 6 in his litter!!!

  • male dogs give birth as well?

  • I think she was saying her dog was born in a littler of six, not that he gave birth to a little of six.

  • LOL

  • huh?

  • I just found the concept of male dogs giving birth quite funny :p

  • lol, ok? :D

  • my jack russel tilly is a year old i want to breed her but she still feels like a puppy to me how old do you reckon a dog should be when it breeds

  • Most people like to wait till there two years, but it's alright to do it before then; Some dogs get pregnant at 8 months

  • i know how it feels honey

  • rearly wow you are a special dog than;)

  • circle of life just keeps going and going and going. its like were engineered to repeat things over and over again and again, AMAZING!

  • 04:07. Good thing u did in helping the mother tear up the amniotic sac. anyway, one advice. next time u do this, wear sterile rubber gloves. handling that newly birthed pup might 'stain' it original smell. Thus, the mother might not recognise it as one of her own. This might lead the pup to get neglected by its mom. :)

  • not really sure that the gloves would ensure that the human smell wont get on the pups.. its usually to lower the risk of infections.

Good that you helped her out though. she seems to be having a little trouble with the 2nd pup

  • EWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEW but birth is beautiful IN weird ways

  • Awesome choice of music. I enjoyed wathing it.

  • whats this song???great video now i know what to exect when my bitch gets pregent also a jrt best dogs going come by and have a look iam still new to you-tube

  • Pachelbel's Cannon in D major

  • The girl done good. All the best.

  • im in shock how wonderful dogs r. i have bitch and in future i wanna breed her. now she is only 13 weeks ans she is a doberman pincher with pedegree.

  • and thats nature for you.. i loved it what a wonderful thing to watch... bren

  • i've tried countless times to mate my Cocker spaniel , Angel with 3 different males and everytime they'd get close she'd yelp and bite at the male and growl. she'd be willing and happy to let him "on top of" her but when he'd get close to finally joining she'd pull out. Is there any one on here who can explain to me what they think the problem is? I wont try again with her but i am thinking about buying another female to breed b/c i really really want to see the birth of pups first-hand

  • Hiya,

I'm a vet. Are you doing progesterone tests and or doing vaginal cytology? In some bitches, pinpointing the moment of true estrus (Standing heat i.e. allowing intromission of the penis) can be difficult, talk to your vet, they can do tests (A vaginal smear and blood test) to help you pinpoint her estrus.

  • How did you restrict the litter? Does restricting the amount of intercourse mean less puppies?

  • i think o0cak0o is wrong u cant restrict the litter by just restricting the joining thing, just like when people have more than one baby, doesnt mean the parents where so horny and did it everyday, it just happens

  • Wow! What Great Vid, My Dog Has Puppies Due In A Couple Of Weeks And I Was Dreading The Birth But This Vid Has Helped Me By Showing Me How It Happens! Thanks Alot For Your Help!!

  • congrats

  • its bnleeding oooh my god i fee so bad for how much pain it is gooing through

  • They are really good mothers.

My Jack Russell had 5 pups in 45 minutes. Her first litter. Did she pop them out.

    Ted

  • Poopin' Babies Out of the Ass... :-P

    It's not graphic...

  • Beautiful

  • wonderful video please keep us informed on the pups

  • hey great video! how do you restrict the sire whilst tied? im currently thinking about breeding my 2 staffordshire bull terriers, but remain undecided, due to the fact there are TO MANY dogs in shelters around the world, i no me not breeding wont solve this problem but i supose it helps a little? what do you guys think!?.

  • make sure you charge enough for your pups. That way buyers who only want to look after a dog will apply

  • so cute!

    zo lief!

  • God bless you & your puppies, sweet Blarney! Thank you for this wonderful video - how precious!!!

  • Very cute. How nice. I love 'em. We have two.

  • Wonderful video. Thank you for sharing it with us.

  • This is a wonderful video. I have two JRT and now I can imagine how everything was.

  • Wow! Congratulations. When my JRT gave birth there were complications and I had to load her up and take her to the vet hospital, but luckily, she and all her pups survived.

  • thank you for sharing this...i have a JRT on hold from a litter that is to be born tomorrow 7/26/07. I am so excited to have the new puppy, it will be a long 8 weeks wait...watching these videos are what is helping me to pass the time. I have had a JRT in the past, that we lost, it was horrible we miss her terribly as they are the most wonderful dogs a person could share their lives with, have fun with the puppies.

  • Some dogs won't to give birth to there offspring if anyone is around...i know my Rat Terrier wouldn't(it had 5 pups anyway)

  • Thank you for sharing this wonderful tape with us!

  • omg my friend has a mix and the puppy is a shitzoo, pukkinees, and a Jack russell terrier. but it looks like a a JRT only and she is going to have puppies soon

  • i love jrt!!!

  • just curious, but why would you chose to ruin your video by playing music? i think hearing the sounds of birth, especially those precious puppies themselves are better than listening to elevator music.

  • yeah nature ambience (how should i call it?) is a good sound.. but.. cannon is a cachy song haha =D

  • Wonderful video! I've never seen a dog give birth so that was an experience for me. She seems like she's been a great Mom! I have a 5 year old JRT and he's my life. Thanks for sharing!

  • my sister in law dog had 5 puppies/

  • Candlelight, chamber music...if every birth can be so beautiful!

  • LMAO! I know... the birth of my two daughters was not this relaxed I can assure you!

  • aww will ya look at those lil cute muts *goes all soft*

  • Love this video! You did a fabulous job making it moving and heartwarming with the addition of the music. Blarney also did a fabulous job--her pups are adorable!

  • Thanks for the comments on the video. I was worried that the quality was crap because it was so late. I may have edited it ok, but I am no cameraman lol!

  • Simply Adorable. I have a Jack and she is wonderful, but was fixed when I got her. I am so sorry for that. I would love for her to have babies.

  • They are beautiful puppies, but I love Blarney so much that I would have never regretted not breeding her. Even though she is fixed, you still have her and thiat, I think is most important. :)

  • u know i had a jack russell too and im going to get a tattoo of it. I love jack russells alot.

  • I know how you feel, they are suck spunky dogs... i love the breed.

  • GASP!!!

    TWINS!!!!

  • do the mothers do there own little cheack on the pup to make sure everything is okay?

also, this being he first litter, she didnt seem to mind you helping her with the second, she obviously trust you very much

  • The mother should instinctively chew through the umbilical chord when the pup is born, and that would normally break the amniotic sack. But in Blarney's case, she was chewing too low and the sack was still covering the puppy's face...so I had to intervene.

She seemed to understand that I was there to help during the birth, and was happy for me to clear the pup's airways etc. The following day she was very aggressive and we had to be careful. She settled back to normal in about 3 days.

  • Thank you. She had a short labour... only 3 hours, so she recovered very quickly.

  • I dont know how jack russell bitches do it. They have so many pups at the same time. Lovely pups.

  • precious

  • Thanks!

  • How old was your jack russell terrier before she had her pups? My jack russell just had her first heat cycle. I was wondering when the best time to breed would be.

    Thanks!

  • She was 12 months old. I would usually wait for their third cycle before joining. Blarney seemed to be in good condition with a well developed pelvis so I decided to join her on her second cycle but limit the size of the litter. If this is the first time that you are breeding, it is best for the dam to be sterilised after her fifth litter so to avoid health issues such as weak bladders and prolapses later on in life. Try to leave it at least 12 months between litters.

  • congratulations...they are very cute

  • Thanks. :)

  • congrats! they're gorgeous! :D

  • Thanks heaps. They are almost up to 500 grams (birthweight 190gms) but still haven't opened their eyes. I will put another clip up soon.

  • Precious gifts :)

  • Thanks. I cannot stop looking at them! I will upload more videos as they grow... and they are growing very quickly, they have already added 50% to their original birth weight.

  • ADORABLE

  • Thank you. And they are getting cuter by the day!
