  • wouldn't the one with 2 10's on each side be 45 because of the weight of the handle

  • does anyone have any idea how much weight a standard spinlock dumbbell can hold?

  • @loftus1996

The ones I have hold about eighty pounds each if you use nothing bigger than ten pound plates. I've put over 200#'s on them using 50 pound plates just for grins the plates are to big to allow you to use the dumbbell for exercise but it did not bend under that load.

If you need more than eighty pounds for an exercise you should buy standard handles and use collars. These are mad in varying lengths to be loaded higher.

  • @loftus1996 the handles u see in this video are 14" which r standard n can hold 80lb with 10lb plates if u want them to hold more weight u can buy 16" n 18" handles those can hold up to 100 n 120lb depending on how heavy the plates are, other than 10 ive seen 12lb plates hope this helps.

  • i bought dumbbells yesterday and i need to buy new collars because its really loose but im not sure if there going to fit some one help

  • @best8reviews

Are they spinlocks like the ones in this video?

If so; Have you followed the video directions?

Do you mean you can't tighten them down enough?

  • Some brands have rubber handles which is bad because they compress when the collars are tightened or the weight is held at an angle causing the collars to keep loosening. My new spinlock dumbells are solid metal with metal spinlock collars that have a rubber gasket for a tighter hold. The 13.5” bar safely holds up to 4 x10 lb. weights a side. Totaling 80 LB. (85LB including the bar) If the metal grips are to rough, just wrap them with hockey tape or wear weight training gloves.

    Good review!

  • Not sure, They were cheap from the used sports store, made in China. Probably C.A.P.
