Your tackle impeded the player with the ball. As you can see from the replay, the tackle stops the players right foot from continuing to dribble with the ball which is a penalty straight away. The studded tackle is a perfectly good reason for a red card. So basically, you made a bad challenge and got what you deserved.

This happens to me alot, I think it's because the impact engine notices that Puyol does make contact with the player before the ball as you can see in the video, Puyol wins the ball fairly but because there is contact to the attacking player before the ball it's supposedly a penalty. FIFA clearly don't know the rules of football (Probably because the game is made mostly by idiotic yanks that in my opinion should be banned from the beautiful game unless their name is Clint Dempsey)
