  • to everyone putting hate on this video and saying it wont work on ice etc . Do a search on the tube for " Alexander Ovechikin breakaway practice " This is exactly the move he uses to scoop the puck up to get the move started . But hey what does Ovechkin know about hockey ?

  • doing it wrong bro

  • woah ur hot! haha

  • Kid you have a crazy toe drag. Your hands are pretty sick too.....

  • It wouldn't work on ice. You can't catch the puck like that, it would slide off. You need to use centrifugal motion to pin the puck to the blade if you're going to scoop it.

  • This kids got some pretty sick hands!

  • ur toe dragging wrong stupid :P

  • @DandersonDan shut up t.wat!

  • Im sure it won't work on ice due to the slippery stick tape...however you have a sick toe drag kid

  • What in the fuck is a "Michegin"

  • i have that stick

  • @IAmLevel80

    thts embarassing

  • i just do it by putting your stick blade on top of the puck, add some pressure so your stick flexes a little then bring it back and up. It's the smoothest way to do it. That's how crosby and the mike legg did it.

  • cool vid but thats not the michigan

  • nah you gotta use the toe or heel, pressure puck so one side lifts up, sweep it around and scoop it up

  • that wont work on ice u need to put presure on the puck with the toe, hole it and then scoop

  • bender

  • so, with Tape it works a little bit easer i think^^

    but nice video!

  • its a lot easier on concrete.. try it on ice toolbag.

  • u suck

  • That's a really weird looking blade on that stick. Super long and skinny.

  • Video was pretty good I thought, but this was totally added on my birthday! :D

  • Well his method completely works with a road puck. Get off his nuts.

  • LOL... you are so wrong =) in ice hockey we use the pressure method...this method will never work

  • is he on ice?

  • Nope. This method will only work if you're just dribbling around with an air puck...a hockey puck will not move around like that as friction acts on it and if you're on ice, and you do that... the puck might just go over the blade as it is too slippery.

  • i was being sarcastic hes doing it in his garage, and ive done it that way on ice b4 i got lucky.

  • well lucky you =)

  • amen

  • kid, this will only help you in your garage, totally different on ice. its more of a cuping motion on ice. practice getting the puck on its edge when u get on the ice next time. u could get it, its easier than it looks.

  • a real michigan won't work on the ice the pucks too slippery

  • thats why u use wax

  • lol! WROOONNNGGGG!! I hope you dont try that in game make urself look dumb

  • thats not even how you do it.... you need to learn how to do it also... stoopid ass

  • 1.you apply pressure on the puck 2. you do a circular motion towards the body dumbass and 3. florida sux loser hhahaahahahha

  • that was gay as hell

  • you sure say the word that alot

  • yea look at my vids on the toe drag michagen

  • yah now use a puck:)

  • thats not the rght way to do it

  • thats embarassing geek lol do u play ice hockey?

  • lol u didnt even do it right

  • this is clearly not the michigan ...

dont pretend you know what you're talking about

  • does it work on ice though?

  • You dont evan do it right.

  • THATS NOT A MICHIGAN

  • i scored a goal in a shoot-out with a 360 Michigan :P ice is harder

  • Show boater.

  • youooooooouuuiueiooou suck

  • like that...... like that...... pretty much like that is that like all u know how to say

  • lol, he should be singing with snoop dogg and dr dre, it's like this and like that and like this and euh.. LMAO, would be a star if you asked me...

  • why r u all saying this isnt the michigan?....the title doesnt say michigan...

  • the puck is just rolling onto your stick...

  • ummm, the michigan is based on an indian scoop in lax............this isn't it. at all. the move is about quickly flipping the puck at the heel of your blade. this is just getting your stick under an unsettled puck.

  • Thats not the michigan! Thats really cool though! I'm gonna try it right now!

  • thats not the michigan..at least for ice hockey it isnt

but thats a cool way to do it for roller hockey i guess :)

  • like that. like tha like that like that like that... ya pretty much like that lol

  • it's like this and like that and like this and euh just chill for the next episode :p....

  • great video man

  • Great Job!!!!

Its fantastic to see the young dudes come up with new stuff, and practicing in your garage shows everyone your dedication to the game, once again awesome stuff!!!!!!

  • thats a Mario flip or toe drag flip that is nothing like a Michigan at all.

  • that doesnt work on the ice!

  • but yo how do you scoop up a hockey ball or a tennis ball? same way?

  • Thanks for the video. I'm 39 years old and wanted to practice a toe drag tonight... Thanks for the tips!

  • Nice work. Thanks!

  • i don`t understand why people hate, the dude is trying to show us how to do something. relax and appreciate the fact that some people care enough to try and spread knowledge.

  • yea, "i use these alot" NOT if you can barely do it in your garage then you def. cant do it skating. If ur gonna lie on youtube and make it this obvious... then get off youtube

  • hey nice job!!

  • I agree with vhhockey97. Theres no way you'd be able to pull that off in a game with your stick taped up and ice clinging to it. The puck would for sure slide off.

You're supposed to lay you stick flat over the puck near the heel of the blade, apply downward pressure, then using a toe-drag like maneuver youve got to scoop it up so it lays on top of your blade.

  • There is 3 versions of the puck scoop on my youtube page that I located. I feel that IF kids can pull these easier moves, it will assist and inspire them in pulling off the harder moves later, after they get a feel for it. Rome wasnt built in a day! besides you can never tell what cool puck tricks a move like this could spawn. Puck Scoops are not set stone folks! remember before Mar 24th 1996 nobody knew what a puck scoop even was before mike legg's famous "Michigan" scoop!

  • @Ejoe19 this way works way easier in street hockey but the way you say it is much easier on the ice i agree

  • nic eude :0 thanks for the video im just starting hockey and i was like how do they do those 360 picking the puck up stuff? but yea, GREAT VID

  • Glad you like the video, Check out all my other videos, Have alot a few other tutorials and alot of funny hockey videos, Subscribe if you like hockey...

  • this is awesome bt i need to know how to do a scoop dodge for field hockey, you think besides the whole toe dragging part, the basics are the same as this thing here?

  • I Really don't know field hockey but have seen alot of videos that might help, Look for Shinty, Hockey Tricks,, Should find something more fitting,,,
